Any No Strings Attached Fans?

The team pop craze was on a roll. Summer of 2000. 2.7 (that's right) 2.7 million records sold in 7 days. I still think it's no Millenium (BSB) but it's a pretty solid pop record.

I sorta liked the singles, but didn't give a shit about buying teen pop albums, was sticking to my r&b, hip hop and jacksons albums. Then a friend of mine got the album as a gift and kept telling me This I Promise You is great, I already knew it and thought it was just okay, but she kept saying I should borrow it and I finally rolled my eyes and took it (we were like in high school), but I played it start to finish and liked it way better than I expected....my girl Left Eye was on it, Just Got Paid kicked ass (then I learned it was a remake, no wonder!) and It Makes Me Ill was so awesome, it reminded me of TLC and Mariah tracks on their albums at the time, so I burned a copy for myself and gave it back. After that, I bought Celebrity. N Sync had way better songs than the BSB, but I guess it's fine they quit while they were ahead, and I can see why people didn't like them cause of what they represented in pop culture, they even made fun of it in their song Pop lol

I was an alien cause I liked Janet Jackson the best that year smile I remember Thong Song being very popular too

I have Justin's albums cause I am a fan of Neptunes and Timbaland. I hope he joins SNL, cause he's funnier and cuter for that, and he has the cocky prick attitude for it too. I like it in that respect, not for if he's in music thinking he's better than everyone else.

I'm such a fan that I have BOTH of his albums giggle

I miss early 2000 pop sound. Not something like "I wanna see your peacock cock cock cock" but just pure fun cute loving songs for young teenagers....'N sync FTW!!!

Britney messed up her voice by then, but I liked the non singles and ended up getting it another time before I threw it out. Why did she have to smoke ughhh and I hate what she represents too though Stronger was such a hot video! Eminem was hilarious though, will still listen to him. But honestly I was listening to older artists during this time too and kind of feeling sorry for people my age not knowing all of it, tons of mj, janet, madonna, other older artists. Napster was heaven for me, and I was rediscovering songs I hadn't heard in 10 years too. Had forgotten about Jody Watley, Linear and so on and was finding their stuff again.

I think Justin is overrated as a singer and dancer , and the other dude is more talented, JC. But I bought the albums for Neptunes and Timbaland, love their tracks, and not to mention I could hear lots of MJ and Prince influences, but I got secondhand copies, cause I don't want him getting my money lol

I do miss early 00's too, the r&b/hip hop sound with the pop undertones. I cry so much when I think of those times. That was the time I could have redirected my life and things fell apart everywhere, but I didn't, I just ran away from pain.

Boooo @ JC. I never really care about how people "rate" artists. Doesn't matter how many grammys Justin's got so far or how many albums he sold smile I really love both of his solo albums

aww cheer up :hugging: it's never too late to get back up again wink "Fair 2 partly crazy, deep down we're all the same Every single 1 of us knows some kind of pain. In the middle of all that's crazy, this 1 fact still remains. If u love somebody, your life won't be in vain!! And there's always a rainbow, at the end of every rain cool

Well, it was happy and easy too then, but it was coupled with pain I was running from. And yeah, I loved someone foolishly, but it's not the average situation. I'll keep it at that.

I'm not a hardcore fan of JT, but got both his albums. JC got nothing on JT though. Justin has a total package, and is also able to write some of his own songs, as well as composing pretty damn cool vocal arrangments when it comes to making a choir out of his own voice. JC would not make a Cry Me A River like JT did, even with help from Timbo. JTs strength is just good enough to lift a great beat up to the level of a good song.

His vocal arrangements were heavily based off MJ/Quincy Jones productions. It's known that the crew listened to Off The Wall non-stop when recording Justified, and then crediting Fred Astaire after performing with MJ influences at the MTV awards right away. Pretty damn original punk assed justin...
