Yesss LOL

People joke about them left & right nowadays acting like they never ran shit. Ja Rule used to be unstoppable.

Ashanti OWNED 2002. Bey came out the next year and put a stop to it but for months she had the game on lock. She was scoring hits all over the place.

It's crazy how a new artist had that much influence on the game (talkin' bout 50.) Dude tore down a veteran rapper in Ja Rule.

Don't know if any other new comer rapper has every done that to a top dog?

And not only that but then his crew helped to tear down the rest of the rappers on there (Charli Baltimore included). lol

I think "I Smell Pussy" was the most subtle diss they ever did. evillol

"Don't think I forgot about yo fat ass tho Irv, you wanna run around taking pictures like you Puff Daddy and the Family motherfucker, and that bitch Charli Baltimore, bitch look like she died last week, pale as fuck, painted her hair red, thinking she gonna sell records tryin' to impersonate Pink and shit!" lol

His debut record outsold all of theirs together, Ja's and Ashanti's included. lol

I think Ja still has a few months on his sentence - not sure.

My cousin was one of the only people who actually liked the album - and he liked both Murder Inc AND G-Unit. lol

Sad thing is people recognized R. Kelly's hooks and verse in the song then the other two artists on it. lol I think if you mention this song to an R&B/hip-hop head, they'll recognize it as a Kels song. lol

50 used to GO IN .. what turn me off from him was that he was having beef with everybody and he quickly fell off after but he's set for life (vitamin water etc) I still have a little soft spot for him though lol.

I think 50 knew that most rappers have short life spans and he made his paper and did smart things with it. There have been few exceptions to that pattern and if they didn't find another way of making money they'd be done right now.

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Why do you think his hype was so short-lived? He owned 2003 and then by the next year he was already falling off...

People have short attention spans I think also 50 couldn't really evolve with the music and subject matter. The beef with the game didn't help either I love the G-Unot stuff too lol and his album war with Kanye like another poster mention.

In my opinion Wanksta was the only good track he had.

I liked In Da Club mostly because of Dre's production.

But there was really nothing special about 50.

He had a decent flow, but most of the time, it sounded like he had marbles in his mouth.
