The People Vs. Conrad Murray/MJ Trial. Week 2/Week 3

I may be a bit too busy to start this thread tomorrow morning so I thought I would get it up tonight. I want to thank everyone for being part of the the first thread and for the most part staying on topic of THE TRIAL.

I know its can be difficult with the passion that MJ seems to cause on both sides of the aisle, but overall I think the thread went very well when people talked about the daily procedures and what testimonies were given.

The Prosecution seems to be off to a good start and very fast past. It seems this week we are to get testimony from the detectives that started the investigation. So expect lots of pics and such of the crime scene.

All I ask that we talk bout the trial and leave everything to the sticky. Refrain from gossip, previous trials that have nothing to do with this one and what the Janet was wearing to and from court. If Latoya shows up with a snake draped around her I will allow that. wink

Happy Monday.

Will Bubbles testify?

Sorry fans, just a little humor. I have to do it or I'll end up going crazy. I will behave myself when the time comes to be serious, but till then....

I don't get what the defence is going at. Anyway, they are being constantly objected to and the judge is sustaining most of their objections.

The Defense is trying to discuss the levels of propofal in procedures. Trying I guess to open the door to accidental death.

Why is he asking if it would matter at 12 o'clock if he got Lorazapan at 5 a.m.? It would make Murray look that he was waiting for 7 hours to call 911 after he had witnessed the cardiac arrest as he claims.

She said that Murray said that MJ had a faint pulse, how he could when he been long dead? Murray is lie lie.
I see how the defence is try to put pressurizing her about stuff she wouldn't know about she wasn't MJ's doctor, she did everything right as a emergency doctor, the questions the defence is asking her they should be asking Murray them instead.

The defense is so annoying. It takes them ages to ask a question and once they ask something, they repeat it million of times.

Oh, good! A new thread that actually discusses the trial! That other stuff is boring.

Do you really think they will put Murray on the stand? Not so sure that's a good move on the prosecution's part...but it would be for the defense.

I bet the prosecution witness don't have a hard time with contradiction anyway. Makes it sound like they're grasping at straws. Keep sustaining, judge lol

The prosecution don't plan to from what I've heard. Who knows with the defense.

Why?
Michael from 10 years was a public persona. His whole life was held in public, after the death too.

No wonder.

Duh! I meant that calling Murray would be a good move for the prosecution and NOT the defense! doh! My brain cells were moving slow this morning--forgot to take my vitamins! rolleyes lol If the defense doesn't put Murray on the stand, then the prosecution can't cross-examine him.

Yeah, they're not very convincing are they? lol I really don't think they will call Murray to the stand.

lol Well the defense can risk a conviction if they do indeed put him on the stand. But I personally don't think it would matter if the prosecution can prove (and probably is proving) that the dude's words contradict themselves.

I was just thinking that this whole trial is a such a media circus--just like MJ's whole life was after "Thriller." Similar to the OJ "reality show." I don't envy anyone who has to live their lives in the public eye--especially with the kind of hysteria MJ generated. I remember going to ex-President Clinton's book signing years ago where people stood in line for hours waiting to get his autobiography signed. When the secret service cut off the line and said that was it, there was a crowd of angry people who yelled and cussed out the secret service. One "man in black" told the belligerent crowd that they should be ashamed of themselves and that President Clinton shouldn't sign any books for the likes of them because of the way they acted. I watched Clinton drive away in the limo and then I walked down the street alone. It was quiet and people didn't even look at me as I passed by. And I remember thinking what a blessing and pleasure it was to be anonymous and be able to just walk down a public street without being hounded by people who wanted to take a piece of your hide as a souvenir... confused

Pics - Trial Edition

This past weekend Conrad Murray was snapped out getting a pedicure

Yesterday (Sunday) Katherine, Tito, Marlon, Jackie, Prince, Paris, Blanket, Jafar and Jermajesty attended the primier of the Michael Jackson Immortal Cirque de Solei show. They will not be at court this week--as the Forever Michael tribute concert in Cardiff also happens on Saturday. They are expected to return back home for the rest of the trial next week.

And this pic was posted on Twitter. On the left is UCLA Dr. Nguyen, who just testified on the events of June 25, 2009. On the left is Michael Jackson from a photoshoot from 1999?

That's the price all famous people suffer in one way or another. That's the saddest part of celebrity. You really have no privacy. Michael's whole life was definitely without privacy.
