The 00's An Incredible Decade For Music?

http://www.vh1.com/video/misc/693254/an-incredible-period.jhtml#id=1671158

So apparently the 00's where one of the freesest decade sof music, where you could say and do what you want. And every type of genre was big & the 80's & 90's are not up to par.

Acording to these smart people lol

Well to sum it up the 2000's gave me great things like Norah Jones, Ryan Adams (solo), Coldplay, the strokes, Amerie, Joss Stone, Alicia, and some others but alot of one good album artists and then drop off the face of the earth. Im not even going to get into the fact that the 80's were the last decade to have BANDS and also LIVE RB music, but im not even going to get into that. These shows are always going to blow up the decade they are in, and shit on the rest on the rest despite all the original things they claim, are just rehashes of old work

Nope. It's either the 70's, 80's or the 90's.

I have to be honest, there was some nice music in the "aughties", can't discredit it. If we're going by opinion, to some, it does seem like it was a good decade. But I just feel funny when people just put people's opinions as the public reaction to something. That's mainly why I rolled my eyes about. And knowing it's from VH-1, they always do things like this lol

Ha...u said it before me, man. Yeah, W.T.F, as GrayCap would say...the calendar is loudly yelling "S!" twice @ this. There were some gems in the 00s,but most of what happened in the last decade is the reason why everything is the way it is now...If some are cool with how it is now, no offense. wink

It was the most unoriginal decade ever, blending everything that's already been done. Who decided it's the best? A Disney fan? Beyonce?

PLEASE don't think I'm being a troll, I'm not. I noticed that all the shit talking about the 00's is like a trend for some people. Especially since most of it is coming from some of you old ass people who grew up and is no longer their time. What do you think your parents thought of your music/decade? What do you think this generation will think of the next? It's always the same thing, get over it already. I know there was a lot of bad music in the 00's, but don't act like there isn't an equal amount of trash made in prior decades. So quit bitching, get your old ass panties out of a bunch and realize your shit is over.

It was a decade that had maybe the largest disconnect between quality product and mainstream outlets, but I think the aughts will hold up fairly well due to artists who could find support via the Web, blogs, and fansites like this one.

People who say the 00's was an awful decade for music may be the same ones who gave up or didn't look hard enough.

I have to agree about there being good/great music in the '00s. Believe me, I should know, growing up in the early through late '00s there was enjoyable stuff. Not all of it, but at least 60% was real good. So yeah there was definitely good music in the '00s. Most of the so-called "bad" stuff I avoided. biggrin

I'm only a year older then you sweetheart wink

But yes i agree somewhat, there was a lot of good stuff that came out. But i find it insane some people thinkit was the first to mix every genre in.

That's what I'm saying! Sure alot of crap got released in the last decade. BUt you can only think it's a horrible decade for music if you didn't look for the good stuff and the aughts had plenty of good stuff!

My mother loved it and so did everyone else that was her age. They just moved on with the times as the music got better and better. My grandparents however, thought it was horrible because it was so fast and they grew up on slow fuddy dud music. Oh well, that's progress though and just moving on as times change for the better.

As for me bitching about the music of not only the 2000s, but also the 1990s, it's the total opposite. I bitch because it's all too slow, in fact it's even slower than the fuddy dud music my grandparents grew up with. Oh well, that's just goes to show that times have changed and started going backwards back to the days of duddy dud music instead of moving forward and continuing on jamming hard.

I was a child in the 1970s but I wish I had been in my 30s back then. That way, I'd be a senior citizen now and might enjoy music these days because it's certainly slow enough for a senior citizen. evillol

I USED to wish it, but I don't regret my childhood. I was listening to a lot of 1990s and early 2000s music and remember how great it was/is! lol

Every decade has good and bad music. I mean I heard some terrible songs back in the 60's, 70's, 80's , and 90's. Alot of overrated artist and alot of one hit wonders.
