Why isn't anyone talking about DMX and his "come back"? I didn't even know he was out of the psych ward.

Why isn't anyone talking about LL Cool J receiving that punk ass legend of whatever award?

What about the cyphers? Chris Brown and Tech N9ne did pretty damn good. Em was wack.

What about El DeBarge? His voice was so fragile

There's not a lot of rap fans here, and anything with BET in the title winds up being another "today's music sucks" thread and that they're a blackface minstrelsy station.

The Cyphers (minus the female rappers), DMX and Heavy D were the best parts IMO.

Tyrese needs to sit his ass down somewhere.

Lupe Fiasco and a burka wearing Erikah Badu were a little too for me but I get the message he was trying to send. Don't agree with it but whatever.

Did you see how fat Busta Rhymes has gotten? He needs to be on the biggest loser. I think the wins were slanted to favor Busta. He and CBreezy dominated the wins and that just showed me its fixed.

Somebody please explain the appeal of Big Sean because I simply don't see/hear it. Matter of fact, Jeezy is not that appealing either and he's been around for a minute.

DMX was his old self again. Performance wise, its as if he never left. His rap was strong, he demonstrated a lot of energy on the stage and didn't skip a beat with any of his old jams. He performed "Get At Me Dog", "Ruff Rhyders Anthem" and "Party Up/Y'all Gonna Make Me Lose My Mind" and unfortunately Swizz beats was right beside him but I was able to forgive that minor insult.

Wayne was a no show. CB was a no show. I didn't spot Waka even though he was nominated for a couple awards. No Minaj either.

I tuned in for the Cyphers and THAT'S IT! The rest of the show, was WACK. Eminem, was a part of the BEST Cipher of the evening....For me the worst, was the one with Rick Ross and his 'Man Tits"....

Busta was one of the best besides Shady 2.0 crew. Crown won those awards cause of Busta appearance on the track, he mad that track. Ludacis really dissapointed me with his, hell 2Chainz in the same cypher outshined him ... 2Chainz.

I watched it but had the urge to turn on CNN after . I needed that mess to entertain me last night I was bored Dmx was my highlight along with Eminem and his crew rapping. Chris brown and busta need to sit down somewhere.

I like some of the rappers out there but the show itself had deteriorated over the years to nonsense! I'll tape it if someone I really admire is being paid tribute or performing then scan thru the mess to see what I want and then delete the whole thing from existence!

If you can, just record the parts with DMX, Heavy D and the LL icon award. The rest of the show was....aiight. In retrospect...the cyphers were average, the other performances were average, and El was sub par compared to his performance on the last BET awards.
