A triumph of technology and design, with respect for history in every detail, The Complete Albums Collection features 14 classic Billy Joel albums plus a bonus disc of rare and original recordings. This deluxe limited edition package, available exclusively through MyPlay Direct, is the most comprehensive collection ever by a consummate artist who has sold over 100 million records in the course of his 40-year career. Featuring brand-new digital remasters by Ted Jensen for the best sound reproduction of Billy Joel's music ever on Compact Disc, each CD is packaged in a replica cardboard jacket and sleeve reproducing the original vinyl LP artwork in precise detail. New liner notes take the listener behind the scenes to the making of these timeless albums, featuring previously unpublished quotes from Billy, rare photos from the artist's archives and complete lyrics to every song, all housed in an elegant display case. From the angry young Piano Man to the River Of Dreams and beyond, The Complete Albums Collection is the definitive artifact: a timeless body of work embraced by millions across multiple generations.

Brand-new remasters of all these classic albums (14):

  • Cold Spring Harbor (1971)
  • Piano Man (1973)
  • Streetlife Serenade (1974)
  • Turnstiles (1976)
  • The Stranger (1977)
  • 52nd Street (1978)
  • Glass Houses (1980)
  • Songs In The Attic (1981)
  • The Nylon Curtain (1982)
  • An Innocent Man (1983)
  • The Bridge (1986)
  • Storm Front (1989)
  • River Of Dreams (1993)
  • Fantasies And Delusions (2001)

Hmm, I assume that Cold Spring Harbor is the early eighties remix and not the original? If so it is disappointing that they are missing yet another opportunity to release the original version.

It wasnt so much the extras, it was a very shoddy job not worth a purchase, questionable remastering that wasnt proven and also, the band had no involvement at all. Very odd since they were totally in on the KICK, Welcome to wherever and X remasters which were better than average, but so much more needs to be done with their catalog.

I'd like to hear the original version of Smooth Criminal that Michael Jackson did with Roger and anything else they may have worked on, even if it was never finished. biggrin

Just so you know, Music From The Edge Of Heaven is different from The Final. Music From The Edge Of Heaven compiled the singles released after Make It Big. The Final is more like a best of Wham, containing hits from the first two albums too.

Yeah, any demo or outtake would be great!

Some of Shirley Murdock's albums are still available on cd.

Sugarfoot's "Sugar Kiss" album is reissued on cd in Japan, iirc last year.

Both 80's albums of the Human Body are reissued and available on cd. The first one on Wounded Bird.

And the 70's gatefold album of Roger & The Human Body is reprinted on vinyl with a single sleeve jacket.

I noticed a 2-fer of both albums by the New Horizons, recently reissued by funkytowngrooves.

Around the 90's there was a Japanese 2-fer as well, but with some tracks missing. I've seen their second album also reissued on vinyl.

There's a cd-reissue available of Dick Smith's "Initial Thrust", though i doubt if it's official and not sure how the sound-quality is.

Bobby Glover's Japanese cd-reissue is expired.

Some of my choices:

Ebonee Webb - Too Hot - 1983 - Capitol

General Caine - Girls - 1982 - Tabu

General Caine - Dangerous - 1983 - Tabu

Jakky Boy & The Bad Bunch - I've Been Watching You - 1983 - Salsoul

Jakky Boy & The Bad Bunch - Jakky Boy & The Bad Bunch - 1985 Atlantic

Kwick - Foreplay - 1983 - Capitol

Marvin Holmes - It's About Time - 1983 - Brown Door

MYX - MYX - 1981 - Invitation

Slave - Bad Enuff - 1983 - Cotillion

Steve Arrington's Hall Of Fame - Positive Power - 1984 - Atlantic
