I just turned it on. It looks like a 1990's episode. I don't know who the guests are going to be, but right now a LL Cool J is playing. I think I'll pass on this one. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I got off work early today and was already home when it aired. I had my TV on the five o'clock news and didn't even bother to switch over there to see who was going to be on because I already figured it was going to be a bunch of bullshit. It's a damn shame they've been fucking up so bad lately that you can actually predict a future fuck up. Andy is a four letter word.

I can't tolerate any of the 90s episodes.By that point, the show was DEAD.
It's a shame that Prince waited until 1994 to finally make an appearance He should have appeared during its heyday.

This is the 4th time they've shown this episode with Gloria Gaynor singing I Will Survive. But I'd rather see this than the 1990's episodes they've been showing recently. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Prince was trying to crossover, and Soul Train wasn't the place to do that. Prince went on programs like Solid Gold and American Bandstand. I don't think he wanted to be seen as a "Black" or "R&B" act. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I wonder why they got Gino Vanelli's background singers in the dark. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

This episode features Dru Hill, Montell Jordan, & 702. Maybe they should show Gloria & Gino again instead. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Dru Hill were some teenagers? Other than "blondie", the other three look old. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
