Carol Kaye ~ Bass Catch You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Cool track.
Written by another great bass player, Ray Brown. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Part of The Wrecking Crew (L.A. session players), as a guitarist & bassist, that played on tons of Pop hits.
I got to play with her a few times. Played with her son Peter a few weeks ago who is a very good drummer.
She used to be a hottie back in the day.
Music for adventurous listeners

I love Carol Kaye. She played with many of the greatest. She also seems like a very level-heaved lady.
The most recent i have heard of her is some splendid bass-work on some Beach Boys inspired-songs on the album In Reverse by Matthew Sweet.
