Whitney needs to retire from SINGING. I would still like to see her act, produce, maybe even start her own clothing line or fragrance. Her golden voice has reached the point of no return. It's so sad. sad

I've been saying for years now that Nippy needs to stop singing and become a comedic actress. She a natural at comedy. She doesn't even have to try and the woman just makes you laugh out loud!

I would like to ad the next two:

- INXS

- Queen

I dont see no sense in these two bands plodding along without their original leadsingers / frontmen who were so important when it comes to the sound and the image of these bands, especially in the case of Queen.

R. Kelly!

Please somebody get him the fuck outta here!

Tell him to take Omarion with him.

R's last album was great though. Too bad it seems he's going back to the rap based stuff

That's why he needs to sit his ass down. Sequels are rarely a good thing.

what did R. Kelly ever deliver? fake, plastic R&B. And he was another child molestor, just like Michael.

No you silly geese, I love MJ, I don't like what the media does to him and how they promote him as a cariacture. I want them to stop promoting the cariacture, he doesn't exist. I know we're all sensitive today cause of the pic and I just finished moping, but sometimes I gotta say stupid shit to make myself crack up. Sorry if I offended you, it wasn't for the real mj.

I probably forgot you. There's so many members I forget pretty much anyone wihtout an avatar lol

@Riverman: Michael and R were found innocent for good reasons. Michael was never a molestor and R. Kelly pissed on that girl thinking she was legal. Also his R&B wasn't fake Yes he may not have been the best singer, but he had some very good R&B songs before rap came into the picture. He sucks at rap

There are too many to mention who i'd like to see retire. So, no names just suggestions about artists or bands who are way past their expiry date or creativitiy. Especially their creativity (or lack of it).

That happens to me sometimes, it's all good. Hope spinlight sees this thread. As for r Kelly, though I know about the missing date and the age thing, didn't he have child porn everywhere and get charged too?

He was charged for that I believe. But I'm pretty sure he didn't know about the age thing there either for some of it.

No, they found tons of adult porno and a camera with 12 images of an alleged minor and a woman of age. The charges were dropped because the cops didn't have a search warrent to raid his studio in the first place.

Sting

LL Cool J

R.E.M.

U2

These artists have become so redundant.

Yeah that's it. I knew there was pictures of the incident involving the minor

Here's my thoughts on this.........

IF a person or group has real musical talent (and I mean real i.e. they can sing, write, play instruments and perform live) then they should never have to retire if people are still enjoying their music.

If on the other hand, they are a bunch of wannabees like so many listed on this thread, then I would love to never see or hear from them again.

Just because people get older, doesn't mean they should retire. A real musician never loses their talent. Sure, they may not be what they were at 30, 40 or even 50, but they still have talent and a love of performing and sharing their music with real music lovers.

That's mostly true, but as far as vocalists there are many whose voices detoriate due to smoking, drugs and other factors that they can't really sing anymore. Talent does go if you don't take care of it and maintain it. You can't take your talent for granted, you have to work at it by rehearsing, keeping up with vocal lessons etc.
