LOVE THIS SONG! I prefer the remix Collect Call version, though. So sad. He had a fantastic voice but drugs kept him seeing his full potential. One of the Gordy women went into his problems in great detail in her biography. Very sad.

His album did well enough for Warner Brothers to want a second album out of him. They gave him an advance, he took the money and booked! They, of course, dropped him after that.
