I got to 1:26. After she was talking about how her man wears black diamonds, and telling girls to show their man how to ride a dick...come on now B. You're 30 and a damn momma now.
Interviewer: How did you come up with the concept of your new video?
Beyonce: You know what? Actually, I was browsing Youtube and came across *insert artist* video and I felt so inspired by the emotion that I wanted to capture that same essence...
Identity said: Okay, so WHY do you feel she stole it?
Because she uses the same type of setting+same type of clothes+ used the same choreography+same camera angles.
She never checkes with the artist whether she was allowed to do this.
That's stealing.
Prince performs people songs all of the time and I'm sure he doesn't ask permission but no ones writes stories about him or anyone else who does the same thing and says they're plagiarizing...just sayin'!
surviving on the thought of loving you, it's just like the water
I ain't felt this way in years...
My point is...the lady says she's seen school kids perform it and that she thinks that's more beautiful. It's okay when no one asks permission but when it comes to Beyonce, there goes the magnifying glass. Everything she does is disected and then report if they find out it wasn't "original". I'm not saying it's right to steal or whatever but I just feel like this wasn't that big of a deal. Did Beyonce take total credit for this? No. Does she say when and what she's inspired by? Yes. I don't know, I just hate seeing people be so quick about downing or dismissing someone who doesn't mean any harm. I'll let it be, though.

You better believe she will be under a magnifying glass. This is not high school musical at North High Community....this is somebody who used someone elses work and will be getting paid every single time the video and song airs...thanks to her vision and imagry she came up with originally.
Let somebody do that to you I dont think you say the same thing.
Let somebody re-copyright your stuff you already paid for and worked on and I bet you would be the first one in here letting us know.

Oh chile, calm down. If I had something to rant about 'here' would be the LAST place I come to to do so. I wouldn't rant about it to anyone if I had that big of a problem with it. I would talk to that person and if I can't bring myself then there is no need to do interviews and things about it. I said I didn't feel it was a big deal because I see it as an homage, not stealing. Artists perform other artists songs and whatnot and I'm sure most of them don't ask permission a lot of the times and we praise it but I just feel people nitpick at anything Beyonce does because for whatever reason there is just something about her that irks most of you.

Beyonce is being compared to more legendary artists that were exactly original and innovator so yes you betta believe people are going to analyze it because she is being placed on a pedestal not by us... by the media and SHE HERSELF. Beyonce has a TRACK RECORD of stealing and copying so this isnt anything new.
She is just a pop star and looks for creative things because she cant be creative herself. I dont take her seriously at all which is why the copying doesnt bother me much.
Shit like this further shows just how overrated she is. I wouldnt mine it as much if she would stop making it seem like she is just this innovator artist who takes risks when in real reality all she does is follow trends and copies. I dont see why she should be an exception of artistic criticism.

The only thing I said was that the artist didnt even KNOW her work was being re-done. That's the part that is pretty shady.
She being 30 now it's like...come on chile you should know better, she not Hanna...she know what she is doing. There comes a time to be "cute young and inspired" but not by 30...that is just a cheap.
I have her last three albums, I have a like her hae her relationship. She puts on a great show...she has two good albums of her four...Counts for something.

Prince doesn't claim it's his song and he pays royalties on that.
If he did a video with dancing zombies, wearing a red leather jacket, and doing the same moves as MJ, without permission... that would be plagiarism.
That clip is only one minute and twenty seconds. There's still 3 minutes left to be seen. The rest of the video may not be the same as what we already have.
Interesting. I thought she was for sure gonna go with the suited look like her performance outfit for the VMA's.
Cant wait to see the whole thing. I love, love, LOVE this song.
I was hoping so too! I don't like that look. it doesn't fit the song.
Right me neither. But I agree with PurpleRain2010. The video may likely change towards the end since this scene is like rehearsal footage in her dance studio or something. Here's hoping. She needs to give them leotards a rest
and ALWAYS copying someone else and hiding behind saying it was "inspired"
this video looks like all her videos from B-day. I don't see anything different.
the love on top, I don't understand why she is dancing in a baithing suit, it doesn't make the video any better if anything its annoying seeing her like that all the time.

I like the New Edition tribute for Love On Top..think it's cute.

Oh so the Love on Top video is a New Edition tribute? Didn't even think of that. Makes sense though because there are obvious 80's and 90's influences in the songs on 4 and she payed homage in Countdown already.
Now I can't wait to see Schooling Life if there's a video for that.
