Her hair isn't a Jheri curl. She had naturally curly hair. Tatiana has said they put in some tracks for The Way You Make Me Feel video. She was told it was Michael's idea.
OIC
looks fabulous anyway. they would have made a nice couple.
I read it in her book. It sure did look good, and I agree on them making a nice couple too. |

Yeah I don't count Tatiana's hair as Jheri. I think some folks think black folks with long curls back in the '80s were all Jheris. Not quite. |

Total nonsense,
I have started threads about the cross-over bands from the nineties, a band like King's X, Karl Wallinger aka World Party, power-pop by Teenage Fanclub.
So what? You can't force people to look at your threads. Unlike you, if people aren't interested in the groups you post, they don't look at it and ruin it for the people who want to talk about it. If you don't like Mike or Jheri Curls, why did you click on this thread in the first place? Go to their sites if you want to discuss those groups. Most people are not going to look at groups they never heard of. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton |

Listening to Don't Stop Til You Get Enough. One of his sexiest songs. I loved the way Mike had his hair back then. Short 'n jheri. Actually it doesn't really appear jheri curlish to me but rather like he washed it and added in a leave in conditioner or some other styling product then let it dry naturally. From what I remember about jheri curls; they dripped and had a more loose curl pattern to them. Maybe that was the "S" curl or carefree curl. Hell, I dunno. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!
RIP Dick Clark, Whitney Houston, Don Cornelius, Heavy D, and Donna Summer. |

Like I said earlier, I think Michael's hair was naturally curly especially during that stage. Not as curly as his 1973 perm ( ) but curly enough I think. |

This poster (Riverman) is trolling. I don't see him starting any threads about anything. Just want to spew negativity for no reason. If he doesn't care about discussing hair, he didn't need to come in this thread. He could have just as easily started a topic about what he is interested in.
Total nonsense,
I have started threads about the cross-over bands from the nineties, a band like King's X, Karl Wallinger aka World Party, power-pop by Teenage Fanclub.
I care about music, not about some quasi-pedophile with kitschy hair.
Riverman,I just have to ask: if you don't like the discussions that go on in this forum, why are you here? I'm sure there are many other message boards/sites that discuss the type of artists and type of music that YOU wanna discuss.I never understrand why people complain about this forum, yet stick around to indulge in it.That makes no sense. |

All curls didn't drip. It depended on what type of spray and/or activator was used. Also some people oversprayed. I just remember when I was a kid there were all these older kids, mostly boys, who walked around with that lil spray bottle in their hands. I remeber this one dude dripped his curl juice on my foot and I was wearing sandals. I felt dirty. I think the loose and drippy curls were the Jheris while the tighter and drier curls were some other variation. I also remember something about a wave nuveau. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. The size of the curls had to do with the size of the rollers the hair stylist used, not the brand. People with short hair generally either used small rollers or had a S-Curl which didn't require rollers. Most people didn't spray all day. Once was enough. Now if you got in a pool or something, reapplying the spray and activator was needed. There's older people now that still wear a curl where I live. Look at the singer Marvin Sease, who died not long ago. He wore one up till the end.
