About the curls, a Jheri uses chemicals and activator, but a set and curl is either permed or flat-ironed and curled with a curling iron. I think in Purple Rain, Prince had a perm, and then the stylist curled it with a hot iron. He'd been perming his hair for about a good four years up til that point. Michael had the activator kind of curl.

OMG, I have never seen that before. I had no idea that Jamie Lee Curtis did a video shoot with Jermaine. Were the John Travolta scenes just cut in from the movie or were they specifically for the video too?

That scene in the film where 'Shock Me' plays has to be one of the most ridiculous 80s scenes I've seen. People never realise that the Eric Prydz Call on Me video was a straight rip off.

I'm mad his hair is even called a Jheri Curl! Not only did it not drip, it's not a Jheri, it's just that his hair was MADE like that from BIRTH. Some Brothers just GOT IT LIKE THAT.

MJ had a wonderful Jheri Curl. Infact he was one of the few that could carry the jheri curl off without making it look tacky. And the shorter the curls the better he looked.
