Got it. Superb! Arguably his best ever album, definitely as good as the best half of "R" and miles ahead of the last one. Three of the songs are Stevie, Marvin and BT & H soundalikes, but they're very good nonetheless. Shame the motherfucker's as sick as he is talented.

Can't wait to hear it. Only thing that kept me from ordering it in time for release date is the 19 song tracklists used on many websites. Wanted to make sure there aren't alternate versions... yours is 24 right?

24 tracks, from the great opener "Chocolate Factory" to the closing "Apologies Of A Thug" from the "Loveland" bonus. Much of the music on here is great, soaring life-affirming stuff, which is all the more remarkable when you consider the conditions he made it in. If that was me I'd have made twenty Radiohead albums.

Have you heard the full bootlegged "Loveland" album? It's a must have in it's own right.

No, I haven't, unfortunately. What's it like? How many songs has the complete version got on it? The "Loveland" bonus disc is a masterpiece in its own right - easily the best thing he's ever done.

Mine is 16 tracks, all I can say is search on filesharing sites. Ironically though the song "Loveland" itself doesn't feature. He does an amazing Stevie tribute called "Some Things Never Change" amongst others...

Yeah "When A Woman's Fed Up" is my joint, I'd say his self-titled 1995 album is my favourite overall of the LPs though.

I feel you on Ja Rule spoiling "Been Around The World", his talking all over the track doesn't even seem to fit. Just wanted a hot name on the album and to get extra sales to JR's collectors I guess.

I think the tracklist on the back of the CD is screwed up. It lists "Apologies of a Thug" as the last song on the CF album, when it's really the song "Who's That."

I think "Apologies" is at the end of the Loveland bonus CD, but I'm just starting it, so I haven't determined that yet.

It's really good. Just as good as "R", if not better. Wish he had included "Some Things Never Change" and "All I Want to Do" (aka the Stevie Wonder tributes) though.

As good as Chocolate Factory is, I wonder if the original "Loveland" might've been even better. He's definitely at a high point musically. I hope he's able to keep making more music in the future.

This album sucks and sound like all the other R Kelly Albums: Shitty.

This album sounds like Invincible, too plastic, too dull and not entertaining at all.

The lyrics suck. I mean did he write these lyrics in high school? Give me a break, I cant believe a grown ass man wrote these lyrics.

What a throw away album. Too much filler, and the Isely thing is getting old.

Dude aint progressed one bit since 12play. No wonder he is still popular, cause he aint changed one bit.

The album is overproduced and his "gosple" songs suck.

Cosign. and some people have the nerve to say that prince's lyric suck lately, then turnaround and give r kelly props for that bull that he calls writing.

To be fair consumers make different demands on their favourite artists. Prince only got criticised by some due to the religious dogma he preaches rather than bad lyrics per se.

If you can only listen to deep meaningful lyrics then R. Kelly on the whole isn't for you I agree. You don't go to him for that...

Please, this album is so light on music and lyrics it is sickning.

I see why high school people like him.

This album is so overproduced and has way too much filler.

How do you get past these lyrics, if the music is the same as it has always been for RKelly?

I mean his ballads suck.

A case of getting more credit than you deserve.

Who else only got 23 songs instead of 24?

As far as I understand it for some reason the US version had Apologies Of A Thug taken off at the last minute (a sticker on front explains this?) while the Euro version has all 24 with the song being track seven on second CD.

I think his talent is truly being embraced now, especially in comparison to the mediocre "R&B" status quo. Reviews have been like 99% positive.

The sticker on the plastic wrapping says"Who's That featuring Fat Joe(Replaces Apologies Of A Thug)". I wonder why it was replaced??

Yeah, after I got the album and played the song "Who's That" I realized that it couldn't have been "Apologies of a Thug". I went to Kazaa to try and download "Apologies" but when I downloaded it, I got "Who's That" again.

Arrgh!

Anyway, I took the 6 songs from the Loveland bonus CD, and added an additional 7 from the Loveland sessions I downloaded, and damn if that doesn't make the best R Kelly CD ever.

Oh well I'll be sending back my US import version then. It's always annoying when alternate versions are released by virtue of geographic region. It's patronising to say groups of fans in one country want to hear different things.
