They've said that the Beach Boys was the inspiration for this. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Love it. This is the album my sister bought me for my 17th birthday.

Great tune. One of my favorite bands... seriously influential. "Wir fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n auf der Autobahn." Yeah, apparently the "fahr'n fahr'n fahr'n" line was meant to emulate the Beach Boys (as in "fun fun fun").

Great song. One of the few bands I got into after seeing them live. Twice.

Really great band, seen them live once - nice guys!
These guys we really innovative - true pioneers of electronic music. Unfortunately I don't like todays electronic music so much, but Kraftwerk is great!

Indeed,
People often say Princes music owes a lot to James Brown, Sly Stone and George Clinton.
But the Minneapolis sound owes a lot also to: Kraftwerk, Gary Numan and Devo.
