great groove wish they played this on the rado at work

This whole album absolutely slays. Even the ballads.

I remember when this song first came out, it was the first one by James Brown that I didn't particularly like. Wasn't too crazy about anything that followed either, especially not "Living In America". Everything prior to '73 was pretty golden though, in my opinion. Still, "The Payback" brings back memories of a long ago, and in many ways happier, time.
