Rihanna: I Had No Idea C*nt Was Offensive

Rihanna: I Had No Idea the C-Word Was Offensive!

CELEBRITY NEWSOCTOBER 3, 2011 AT 5:27PM

Rihanna's not exactly PG -- but who knew she was such a potty mouth?

The 23-year-old appears on the cover of British Vogue's November issue, where the "We Found Love" singer reveals her fondness for the word "c-nt."

"That word is so offensive to everyone in the world except for Bajans. You know African-Americans use the n-word to their brothers? Well, that's the way we use the c-word," Rihanna explains. "When I first came here, I was saying it like it was nothing, like, 'Hey, c-nt,' until my make-up artist finally had to tell me to stop. I just never know."

Despite her affinity for crude language, Rihanna doesn't want to be judged by her stage persona alone.

"That's not me. That's a part I play," she explains of her raunchy image. "You know, like it's a piece of art, with all these toys and textures to play with."

"See, people -- especially white people -- they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead," Rihanna complains. "The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me and [being a role model] became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That's it."

"Look, God doesn't give any more than you can handle," the singer adds. "I had to get through a lot of ups and downs -- big downs -- and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now."

Empress

This girl is so boring. Every week there's something in the news about her that supposed to be controversial. I think all the "Rihanna's" of the world are scared shitless that if they go a week without some controversary, they will become irrelevant. And they are right!! No one would give a rats ass if it wasn't something about sex, drugs or cunts.

She is such a robot lol , ok i am not trying to hate cause i like her Good Girl Gone Bad era. But lord, she sings whatever they write her no questions & do whatever she is told. And hey look it's got her 10 number 1's and loads of top ten hits.

But yes, at times she comes off as decently bright. And other times incredibly stupid... but it's all in the way they want to market here that week i suppose shrug shrug

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

FWIW, I've also heard it used as a term of endearment by New Zealanders. shrug But by all means, continue the hate...

Yeah, it's not hard to believe. Different places use words in different ways. Shock.

Man she sounds really.....dumb. neutral

And in all honesty...her music isn't music. I deem it to be nothing more than just noise. But that's just me.

I came to this conclusion after listening to her music for 2 hours straight when I was carpooling with my girlfriend. disbelief

Yeah but Timbaland didnt know what a BASS was? he had to have it explained by a member of Duran Duran while in the studio, so honestly, i dont doubt any form of ignorance, i mean look at the people running for president

Errrr.....then why do people commit suicide?

With that said, I can believe cunt isn't as offensive in Barbados. In Holland "kut" basically means the same as cunt but is used in the same way as "oh shit" or "that sucks."

Also, while Rihanna may not be terribly bright, Katy Perry still wins the award for dumbest box of rocks out there. "I'm, like, such a deep artist that my art sometimes LOOKS really dumb, but deep down inside it's just so DEEP that the deepness is hidden behind the dumbness. Which is fake dumbness, in case you forgot. Because I'm SOOOO DEEEEEP!!!!!"

And I see all of your creations as one perfect complex
No one less beautiful
Or more special than the next
