Aaliyah Fans Attempt To Get Her a Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame 
Opened on October 02, 2011 The Queen of Urban Pop, Aaliyah Dana Haughton, achieved a level of eminence in just 22 short years that most can't even imagine possible in several lifetimes. She has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and even more than 10 years after her untimely passing, she continues to be a huge presence in the entertainment industry. She was already an established artist with 2 multi-platinum albums while still a high school student, and yet still managed to graduate with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She was far ahead of her time and one of the most revered and elite artists ever, redefining the face of R&B music. Aaliyah received numerous accolades including being recognized by Billboard as one of the most successful artists of all time. She also proved herself as a stellar actress garnering rave reviews for her debut performance in Romeo Must Die with her movies grossing over $130 million respectively. She was involved in charitable work as well, most notably her involvement in the Revlon Run/Walk for breast cancer as it had affected her family personally. A colossal void has been left in the hearts of millions all over the world with the loss of the "highest, most exhaled one, the best." The perfect role model with strong morals and the epitome of style, humility, class, beauty, and talent that is Aaliyah will never be duplicated nor forgotten. Lots of celebrities pay for theirs. That'll make it tough for Aaliyah to get one. To date, Patti LaBelle is the only celebrity to have her star thanks to fan petitions. I'm sure they coughed up some money... | |
