Testimony says that MJ was found lying perfectly straight in bed. No awkard positon, or laid sprawled out across the bed. Within SECONDS of propofol in the amount needed to make him "go to sleep", MJ would have been passed out. He would not have time to arrange himself in the position that he was found in. Sorry, I don't believe MJ gave it to himself. I think this sorry azz doctor concotted his own propofol drip. You can't rip open the bag of saline. No, I think that was his asinine way of creating a propofol drip. The proper way to do it would be draw up the medication into a syringe with a needle, then inject the medication into the bag of saline... thereby diluting the medication. then of course you would make a label of the medication, the amount and the concentration... so that who ever came across the bag would know exactly what was in there, how much, the concentration per mililiters and the date and time of the mixture. Doctors... especially older doctors tend to not go "by the rules". They don't always wash their hands like they are supposed to, wear a mask and hat when entering a sterile area... etc. I can surely believe that the doctor just mixed several bottles into a large saline bag... then the medication is given by titrate. That means however much is needed for the desired effect without adverse reactions. What works for you, may not work for me. It depends on the age, weight, kidney/liver function, past drug history, prescription medications already on board. It has to be a constant assessment to ensure that you are in the "sweet spot" of anesthesia... not too much that you kill the patient, but enough to keep them under. If nothing else, I hope people understand just how precarious this whole idea was to give propofol without proper monitoring and properly trained and licensed medical professionals. probably, but we won't hold our breath for that!  someone on another board was saying that murray taped mj on may 10, a little before he died. they noted that murray's story about 'weening' mj from propofol/drugs falls apart when you consider how drugged mj was in his presence on this day, presumable b/c murray had injected him. according to testimony today, murray continued to order even more benzos, propofol, etc. after this tape was made. how you gonna ween someone from a drug that you keep purchasing on his behalf? anyway, i personally think that this tape was made with some sort of extortion in mind down the road. i don't think there's any other reason for it. it's great for the prosecutors purposes, but i think murray made it with something else in mind. | |
