It was through Teenage Fanclub that I first heard Phil Ochs' "Chords of Fame." For that I thank them. wink

They're good, but I've only ever had their first 2 albums.

My favourite albums are their 3rd and 4th one: 'Grand Prix' and 'Songs from Northern Brittain'. Combine the best songs of these albums, and you have one of the best powerpop-albums ever.

After that they have mellowed out a bit soundwise and their releases became more unfrequently, but on their last 3 albums i could always find (at least) 3 or 4 great songs: i especially love the songs written by Norman Blake.
