Is this the weirdest P-Funk song of them all?
Sure, they did "weird" songs like "Mommy, What's a Funkadelic?," "Free Your Mind and Your Ass Will Follow" and "Atmosphere" but they did songs like those fairly often. I don't think there is anything else quite like "I Just Got Back from the Land of Fantasy, Ahead of Our Time in the Four Lands of Ellet" in their voluminous catalog.

I loved this track since the first time I heared it. It's so unlike what you'd expect from them. Lovely, almost like a ferry tale, with the whistling really adding some flavor. March to the Witch's Castle is another good one. If you're into this kinda stuff you might like the LPs made by Ruth Copeland around the same time as well. ![]()

Wouldn't be P-Funk if it wasn't weird
