808's & Heartbreak was half an Album in Fact it's the Best half album from a hip hop artist in years most just have 2 or 3 tracks then the rest is BullSh*t but this album has clear 50/50 split! so for this reason alone I rate Kanye... talent...and of course MBDTF is hot! so 4 and a half out of 5 Albums is cool with me!

808's is cool to me. Especially Pinnochios Story. Its like his Sea Change.

I guess I should listen to 808s more, I've only properly listened to it twice, I haven't really given it a chance to grow on me yet!

i like some of his songs, but for the most part he just annoys me.

I love most things about him. His music, his style, his personality. He's not like the other rappers who just try to blend in with everybody else, he's not afraid to stand out. People take him to seriously, just chill.

The College Dropout was a big devinitive statement when it came out, still is.....

Graduation was huge & this was the point Kanye had really made it... the album sold a million almost in the first week. 808's is underated.. i used to disliek it to but grow to like more tracks then hate.

My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is his definitive statement[ so far....idk if he will ever top this]

Runaway the song is alright. But the entire film is terrible. That's exactly what I mean when I say he thinks he is deep but he is not. He tried to make himself look really deep and poetic and all that, but it was actally pretty idiotic. Almost everything in that had no logic or meaning or any explanation behind it. There is a story line, but there is no reason why ANYTHING happens in it though. It's just a bunch of random shit happening with his music put over it.

I don't get how people watch it and are like "oh that was so good", was it really? They have that Phoenix girl start dancing while he's making a beat, yeah that wasn't really corny. That's followed by an irrelevant parade in the middle of no where, a parade that Kanye himself said really had no purpose in the film. And they have a dinner in some sort of old abandoned warehouse for some stupid reason. And Kanye apparently thought it was a great idea to have himself randomly get up and play the piano while ballerinas dance to it. And leave it to Kanye to fuck a woman who has been on Earth for like 2 seconds and has no idea of how anything works. Then she leaves to where she came from... Where in this incoherent mess of nonsense is there any point? And the biggest question of all was left unanswered, or even unasked for that matter, which is WHY!? WHY does ANY of this happen to begin with. When you make a story of any sort, there should be a reason for why something happens. Aside from the many little "Why?"'s that are asked through out the whole film, the film itself doesn't even have an explanation for happening. And to top it all off, Kanye sucks as an actor. He was better off leaving himself with no dialogue.

You are right about the acting.... that did bug really bad about the movie. That part where they say his gf is a bird, and he said i didn't notice he does some weird thign with his lip and.... look's disinterested in what is going on

I love his first 3 albums which are hip-hop classics just from a production standpoint.

I hated his 4th album because he just can't sing worth a damn so whatever his vision was, was lost.

I'm indifferent to his last 2 releases.... I skimmed both albums and took the best songs I liked and made one cohesive album out of it.

As a producer, he is hands down the BEST to emerge out of the last decade. As an emcee, he is totally overrated and at times corny.

I think Kanye just got in over his head in terms of his career and industry expectations. This is the case with many young artist experiencing fame and whoredom for the first time. Add in that he now has more money than he ever dreamed and its easy to see why his faith, presuming he had faith to begin with, is in turmoil. The man is struggling with internal demons, no pun. I think had his mother lived, we might see a somewhat different Kanye.
