We used to have afternoon dances in Jr. High. I can't remember for sure but it was probably something from Zapp, like "I Wanna Be Your Man" or something like that. Whatever contemporary R&B hit was playing on "Quiet Storm" radio formats at the time would likely have been it. I do. It was Simply Red and their molestation of "If You Don't Know Me By Now." That would have been around 1990. I didn't really hear the original until maybe 1995/1996. With Teddy Pendergrass' vocals it sounded like a completely different song!
