Rolling Stones lead singer Mick Jagger has confirmed what many people had already expected: The remastered reissue of the Rolling Stones' 1978 album "Some Girls" will have previously unreleased tracks that were written during sessions for the album. Jagger revealed the information in an exclusive interview with German TV network ZDF. The release date for the "Some Girls" reissue is to be announced, but the album will be released by Universal Music. In May 2010, the Rolling Stones' 1972 album "Exile on Main Street" had a similar reissue with previously unreleased tracks. "Stones in Exile," a documentary film about the making of "Exile on Main Street," was released on DVD and Blu-ray the same month. The Stones marked the event with a "Exile on Main Street"/"Stones in Exile" party in New York City, with Jagger, guitarist Keith Richards and drummer Charlie Watts in attendance. (Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood did not attend the party since he joined the band in the mid-1970s, after "Exile on Main Street" was recorded.) As previously reported, the concert film "Some Girls Live in Texas 1978" will be released November 21, 2011, on DVD and Blu-ray; the deluxe versions of the DVD and Blu-ray releases will include CDs. The concert film will also be shown for one night only in movie cinemas worldwide in October 2011. The dates (which will vary by city) and locations for the theatrical release are to be announced. In the ZDF interview, Jagger said:
The interview was mostly about Jagger's band SuperHeavy, whose epnoymous debut album is set for release in the U.S. and Canada on September 20, 2011, and in other countries on September 19, 2011. The members of SuperHeavy are Jagger, Joss Stone, Damian Marley, Dave Stewart and A.R. Rahman. Jagger didn't really say anything about SuperHeavy that he didn't already say in other interviews. He also gave very diplomatic answers when he was asked about the state of world affairs. In the interview, Jagger mentioned that one of the things that he likes to do in his free time is go fishing in the Caribbean. "I go with my children. We do a fishing competition every year." As for touring, Jagger said that there are no plans for SuperHeavy or the Rolling Stones to tour in 2012. Since 2012 is the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones becoming a band, there has been much speculation that the Stones would tour in 2012 to commemorate the milestone anniversary.
