with the kids loving Rihanna these days and only 23 won't be too surprised if she might become solo artist with most #1's or surpassed the only four ladies for most top ten hits

If you put a gun to my head I could not sing the chorus to a single Rihanna song.

I can't believe her new album is coming out in fall..... they must want her to beat records before she's "too old"

I wonder if Mariah has a chance to get to 30. I know Janet doesn't. Whitney no.

Thank you! And 'Umbrella' was one of the worst songs in music history. Just shows you shit sells.

I think Mariah just may have 1 or 2 more good albums in her, and she'll be lucky if one or two reach. She can always sell out and work with David Guetta or Dr. Luke

Nah, I love "Umbrella." Take out Jay-Z's phoned-in rap and it's a perfect pop song. Funny rialb can't sing the chorus, because I think it might be the catchiest chorus of the last 10-15 years.

She has some GREAT songs, but a lot of them are unlistenable due to her bad voice. Lea Michelle's version of Take a Bow made me realize it's great, when I thought it sucked before. I would love to see the full list of women all the way down to those with 2 top ten hits.

Great as they are: Pon De Replay, SOS, Shut Up and Drive, Te Amo

Would be much better with a better singer: Umbrella, Take a Bow, Only Girl in the World, S & M

Only someone as superficial as her could sing a tune about sadomasochism and make it a hit.

You know what? I actually like the dame alot, charming personality in interviews and drool worthy fashion sense, I would've gladly embraced her had she been a regular face in quirky independent films(She does remind me of Lisa Bonet, I don't know whether that was intentional or not).

But when the mountain goat wailing starts? Oh lord, ALL of those positive feelings get thrown up against the wall.

I've always said that, She and Shakira should do a duet...The album should be called, "Billy Goats Standing Underneathe their Umbrella - ella ella"..

I just listened to a bit of it on youtube and I did recognise the song but I did not realise it was a Rihanna song.

Generally anything popular post '90s I am not too familar with. I dig Pink and Lady Gaga but that is pretty much it as far as recent pop music is concerned.

Well Mariah is at a crossroad, shes older now, had children, so i think when she comes back and does something, regardless she will have a pretty good chart showing, but i think she needs to mature now, its over with the lollipops and hello kitty shit now, she needs to prove that she can write a song for someone not in the fifth grade.

But as for these "chart" positions, they're meaningless because its about impact more, will Rihanna's stuff hold up? i dont think so, thats not knocking her its just that like Mariah in later years her music is very forgettable.
