Wedding bells and a new baby are in the near future for Ne-Yo. The R&B gentleman has announced that he is engaged and about to become a father for the second time.

The 31-year-old singer, born Shaffer Smith, put a ring on his longtime girlfriend, Soul Men actress Monyetta Shaw. The happy couple is expecting their second child together.

This is not the couple’s first child. Ne-Yo and Shaw welcomed a daughter named Madilyn Grace in November 2010.

The second baby is reportedly due in October. Ne-Yo also has two other deliveries on the way, his Kevin Hart-hosted mixtape 101 and fifth studio album.

Still pretty much a rumor as far as I'm concerned.

Uh...why aint he married her yet? What's the point of making yet another child without first legitimizing your union at least in honor of the first crumb snatcher.?

I don't think there will ever be a wedding. He's just stringing her along.

And WTF she just had a baby less than a year ago. Don't these chicks understand the toll taken on the female body when births are not at least 2 years apart? You have to give your body time to recuperate and rebuild.

They think that even if they have sex that nothing else happens but things change when someone tells someone they're pregnant and either it's a case of "abort it" or "might as well get married". If you're not ready for responsibility outright, either don't do it at all or protect yourself and make sure the both of you are safe but not lots of folks seem to wanna do it and they only realize it when it's too late.

But who knows in Ne-Yo's case?
