Gap Band ~ You Dropped A Bomb On Me '95

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

no no no!

While i would pass on this version of You Dropped A Bomb On Me, the album was pretty

good. Closing the GAP, Over The Funkin Hill w George Clinton, and Love At Your Fingertips

were gems on this album. Why You Wanna Funk Around was cool too.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

I'll grant you that it's NOT their worst. I think I'm hard on the boys just because how much I loved 1-5. I'm a Gap snob lol

I thought and still think that this version was horrible.

Certain classics you should just not touch. Even if you made the original.

I bought it when it first came out and hated every song on it. Then I got it and slammed in the trash can as hard as I could. lol
