The funk? Mayda got a new album out? The Interrigation was the ISH. "Focus" was my CUT. Talked to Michael Bland not too long ago and he did tell me they were working on one but didnt know when it would be released..this is great news.

I will check this guy Johnny Showcase out now...bookmarked for later.

Although Johny was nice...I checked out Mayda this morning (who I never heard of before) and I really love her new album Tusks In Furs. I checked out the samples on Amazon and then went to her website and listened to some stuff there. Now, I want that CD. Amazon only has the download but CD Universe has the physical CD. I ain't sleeping on Mayda--this new album is great! Thanks for turning me on to it, enfantdumilieu. P.S. Only thing is--that girl needs to eat more!

I listened to the samples..wouldnt say he is Minneapolsi Funk....but he does definitley has 70's falcetto funk down pat. there is some funky shit on there..

Hip Ship / Cocaine Sandwich...HELL YEAH / Hit It From The Back ... smooth Prince For You era-like track there. / Love Is The Message" sounds nice too. Going on itunes to grab a couple...and hear Maydas new lp.

Yeah, but I like her looks, she's really cute. I have the download but I want my physical item, too, so I order it with CDBABY, they have it on stock for 15 USD, by the way ....

COCAINE SANDWICH is that kind of jam I hope for on the new THE TIME (pardon me, I mean ... THE ORIGINAL 7VEN) album. If they deliver stuff only half as good as this funky as hell track I will be satisfied!
