Never heard of it. But I was only listening to Top 40 (and occasionally the oldies and classical music stations) at the time. I didn't turn on the R&B station at all. I listened to the remix station too, which played remixes and long versions of songs only. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton | |
