You know, my bf recently had me give Aerial another go as I also thought it was quite boring, and it has aged really well. The disc with the songs "Nocturn" an "Aerial" is really stunning and beautiful. It was the soundtrack to a drive we took to Palm Springs a couple of weeks ago and it had a perfect summer feel to it. I finally "got," it.

Hoping this new record is along the same lines.

I love that disc and it's new day/slow build to crescendo feel, I find it very joyful.

I'm not one to get overhyped on new music anymore but I'm always interested in anything that Kate cares to share.

It's a beautiful piece of work, yet I've always preferred the 1st disc. I'm in the minority, tho'.

Watching the cover and considering it is a Kate Bush's record, I imagined the artwork would be beautiful. That's why I'm happy to know that the album will be released in vinyl too. Amazon has it already.

Hey mister, from the end of this week I'm gonna be offline for a while, would you mind orgnoting the rest of your Prince poll results to me when they're finished as I don't wanna miss out.

Hopefully I should be back online before the note expires.

Reminds me a bit of the original W&L White Flags of Winter Chimneys cover by Parke, which I thought was cool but all the negs moaned about it so they changed it which was a shame...

You would have thought he would be too old for snowmen and all that tackle.

In my house, that sort of shite would have been kicked out of him before he reached 10.

It's just that I'll probably only listen to it for two or three months out of the year. lol

Winter can actually be very inspirational...but you have to actually live in it for most of the year for it to truly inspire IMO. Past music from Bjork is one example. Under Ice by Kate Bush is a prime example of this, as Dani observed. But if you live in or have moved to a more moderate climate (or even despise winter) it can cease to be inspiring or hold interest for you. As a theme, I still find it very inspiring (although I now live in a place that doesn't really experience winter LOL). I just hope, in this case, Kate's thematic album holds up to the promise of Under Ice...

In the words of Del Palmer, it is not an Xmas album and is the most impressive work he's heard her do in years. Snow doesn't mean Xmas people lol it's a type of weather!

Actually, snow is a form of water and the sign of winter season. IMO there is no winter at all without the snow! Snow brings the light into darkness and there are so many ways how to enjoy the winter. Anyhow, there are also many ways how the snow can make your life lousy and that's why we have 50 words for snow in Finnish - which is not very much, because eskimos have 200 words for snow eek

To be quite honest, my first impression of this album cover was not very delighted, because it reminded me too much of the Snowman animation. I think most of you know the story where little boy is walking in the air with the snowman.bored And then our Nightwish covered that song, which doesn't help the situation att all. lol But now we are talking about KB album and I hope that the Witch is back:-P
