Just got tickets to the Sept 27 show in L.A.

This will be my 4th "rock" concert ever. I've recently learned here on the org that maybe I ought to bring earplugs - so I'm ready! Any other advice welcome. I don't recognize a lot of the songs on their latest setlist so I guess I ought to catch up.

If you have general admission tickets, get there early. I saw them at the Fillmore in April and got there at 7:00 and the line was like 4 blocks long razz The show didn't start until 10:00.

The setlist for this tour is very focused on highlighing their new album so catch up on that one first if you want to recognize the songs they play. It's called 'All You Need is Now.'

Very fun band to see live--seen them 5 or 6 times now and will continue to whenever they come around. Enjoy!

General admission? I have a row & seat number, that's not general admission, right?

Thanks for info - I've been listening to the new one, a couple of good songs, but honestly, I'd like a bunch of hits I knew as a preteen - but it's OK. I know they have to move on, and I appreciate folks who have been at it for as long as they have. What kind of people come to their concerts nowadays?

Thanks guys!! When they were at their height of fame, I was still a teenager living at home and they never came close enought to me that my parents would allow me to travel... Then I got married, had babies and was too busy with raising a family to go... Now that everyone is grown up and gone I am reliving my teenage dreams lol

DD completes my 3 MUST HAVE concerts... I finally got to go to Prince and George Micheal, and now im going to DD! excited

Just saw them 9/27 in Los Angeles. They were really good. Enjoy!

some totp footage bloody lovely, like it was yesterday ! these guys had it going on from all directions mushy

a cool early interview

^^ Thanks for that 1st known interview - just watched it. They were really quite avant-garde in their origins. I just listened to some of their early demos too. I think their look/image and teeny-bop fan-base obscures the fact that they are actually a great band! I agree they ought to get into the RRHOF.

The Chauffeur (this is the demo, acoustic - but I like the one w/ synths too)

Nightboat (with the Smashing Pumpkins)

Girls on Film, uncut (because there's no better song about porn!)

Love Duran Duran, I was the only black kid in the hood who owned a Duran Duran album in the early 80's. I also loved Prince and the Revolution and caught flack for being a fan of that "white Nu Wave Music". Brothas would clown me then ask me about borrowing my Duran Duran albums on the DL lolol.

Just saw them exactly two weeks ago in Las Vegas. It was a really good show. The visual production is great and interesting. I recommend checking the opening band Neon Trees. They are kind of a throwback to the 80's. Still need to load pictures. If I have a couple of good ones, and I can figure out how to post on here, I'll share later.

Finally saw the guys after almost 30 years of fandom. It was phenomenal! Plenty of highlights... "The Wild Boys" has always been a favorite, but mixing in "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood took it to another level! "Notorious" went over really well, as did all the other hits ("The Reflex," "Hungry Like the Wolf," "Rio," "Ordinary World," "Come Undone"). Very welcome: "Planet Earth" and "Careless Memories." The new songs were all great as well, although I was really hoping for "Being Followed" and/or "Other People's Lives." Still, it's hard to find nits to pick after such a great night.
