I don't know anyone that would classify "Bad" as a "classic" album. When most people I know refer to "Bad," they say how much they love the videos, but you never hear anyone say the like the album. It's the total opposite for "Thriller" and "OTW."

Oh well...."back 2 the lecture at hand."

Nobody likes "bad"??
You kidding?
I think a lot depends on where you live and traditions. Most people I know consider "Thriller," "Bad" and "Dangerous" - the best albums of Jackson. You will not hear from anyone that "Off the wall" - a classic or a great album. it`s absolutely not popular in Eastern Europe, even "HIStory" much more beloved here.

Read it again. I didn't say that "nobody likes bad." I was referring to the people I know. Not to mention I live in the USA. I see BAD did extreemely well there.

But this album is really classic.
This is a classic Jackson, this is really his album. He created almost all the songs on this record.
I asked my father, mother, boyfriend and sister: what a classic album of Jackson? All answered unequivocally: "Thriller" and "bad" (with "Dangerous" close third). This is a standard response any music lover in our area ...
I do not know how someone can call "Off the Wall " a classic, but not Bad, it's a mystery to me. Decent album, nice songs .... BUT classic?? Lol!
Generally, I like Dangerous and History more than his earlier work. But this is personal preference, I would not call History masterpiece. wink

You can kiss my ass Ill reply to ANYTHING I want to... What the hell? Grownfolks? THIS IS A MUSIC MESSAGE BOARD not soap opera talk grans

you the one blowing up like a crazy lunatic just because I challenged your responce. Thats what occurs on message boards in case you wasnt aware and you really shouldnt be broadcasting your age when your the one acting like a toddler just because I responded to your comment and obviously upset lol. Please you only embrasse yourself but I guess its to late for that.... just discussion not that serious. LOL

I'm the one blowing up and embarrassing myself? You're the one who completely lost what little mind you have when I dared to mention Michael Jackson in a way that wasn't completely diefying him!

Not everyone worships the ground he Moonwalked on!

I know this is a message board and people can say what they want, but YOU'RE the one who went berserk when I said what I wanted.

So, you're either a hypocrite or you're not that bright.

??? Was reading this and I really dont see how you came to the conclusion that it was worshipping MJ, from an outside perspective you do kinda look like a jackass. Its ok that you don't like the Bad album and Just Good Friends (One of my favorites), but this whole thread you come off as being in a REALLY pissed off.

Here in the States, OTW cuts are played ALL OF THE TIME. Probably more than the trax from Thriller.

As someone said,"I Just Called To Say I Love You" isn't a terrible song,it's just the cheesy production. This song was originally written in 1976....if it had been recorded and released back then,I bet it would have sounded much better. We can blame it on 80s technology smile

I'm not too crazy about "Part-Time Lover".When it was released,I thought it was too trendy and lightweight for an artist like Stevie Wonder.

I know I'm gonna take some heat for saying this,but....I don't really like "Master Blaster (Jammin)" boxed lol

Yeah that's how i felt about Part Time Lover. I was incredibly delighted when he went back to

the old recipe with Skeletons.

nod in my area, the songs "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough","Rock With You",the title track and even "Workin' Day & Night" (which was never a single) get alot of airplay on our R&B station."I Can't Help It" is a Quiet Storm staple.

"Working Day and Night" was the b-side to "Rock With You." I guess radio had 2 play both sides because they were both so damn good. lol

Any who back to STEVIE

I Would honestly say...... if there where any meh tracks by Stevie it would be Stevie at the beach ahahha. It was obvioslu a try to get in on the beach culture of the mid 60's & Stevies voice noticabaly cracks on songs like Sad Boy. He still had great talent on the chromatic harmonica! and that is the gems of his early albums. Cause his voice was still devolping.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

They're both good songs. Far from his best, but good nonetheless.

FTR, I also have no problems with "I Just Called..." and "Part Time Lover."

FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART (from 'A Time 2 Love')

Being a Stevie Wonder fan means that you have to swallow the occasional serving of cheese in between all the good stuff. But I just can't swallow this load of out of date Primula. Next to this, 'I Just Called' sounds like 'Reign In Blood'.
