Recommend me some Soft Rock! I don't have enough in my playlist.
I'm looking for something along the lines of Foreigner's "Waiting for a Girl Like You", White Snake "Is This Love",etc. I prefer soft rock from the 70's & 80's but any decade is fine.
Thx "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ

"Sister Christian" - Night Ranger
Fuck yeah.
If you've never listened to that song on the radio in the Grand Theft Auto games, while mowing down pedestrians or doing a drive-by and got a tear in your eye, then you just haven't lived. Good shit. "I don't think you'd do well in captivity." - random person's comment to me the other day | |

So, are you thinking more "power ballads" over "soft rock?" There is a difference to me. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

For 70s Soft Rock, you just swerved directly into SoulAlive territory.

Hmmm... If AOR fullfills your definition of "soft rock" I would recommend Toto or Dire Straits. And allways remember sensual instrumentals of Carlos Santana, Samba pa ti particularly. Besides, even hard rock bands such as Aerosmith have impressive ballads like "Dream on" or "I don't wanna miss a thing". And then there is a one album you must definitly have: Carole King's Tapestry.

This was a compilation of soft rock songs from the 1970's I made before I got a huge mp3 player. I burned them to CD-R and called it "70's AM Mellow Gold: Vol. 1".
Summer Breeze - Seals & Crofts Precious and Few - Climax I'm Not In Love - 10cc Year of the Cat - Al Stewart I'd Really Love To See You Tonight - England Dan & John Ford Coley Dream Weaver - Gary Wright Baker Street - Gerry Rafferty Drift Away - Dobie Gray (Baby) Fallin' In Love - Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds When I Need You - Leo Sayer Miracles - Jefferson Starship Wildfire - Michael Martin Murphey I Go Crazy - Paul Davis Baby Come Back - Player Crazy Love - Poco Just Remeber I Love You - Firefall Still The One - Orleans On and On - Steven Bishop How Much I Feel - Ambrosia Escape (The Pina Colada Song) - Rupert Holmes
I could go on, but it would take all night just to list the 70's and 80's tracks, let alone the 90's.

I normally get really pissed when an informercial comes on, and they seem to run incessantly on my weekend TV channels, but when a Time/Life infomercial about various pop/R&B music collections from the 1960's onward come on, I watch them to catch up on what music I have on my mp3 player and which ones I need to download.
