Members of Michael Jackson’s family have called a press conference for Monday in Beverly Hills to announce a concert tribute to MJ that will benefit charities in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

Michael’s mother, Katherine, will be joined at the Beverly Hills Hotel by his siblings Marlon, Tito, Jackie and LaToya to reveal details of the tribute, with strong hints in the press release that it will focus on Michael’s “Thriller” album. The press release issued Thursday referred to the concert as a “thriller of an event,” which is being coordinated by the family members and promoter Global Live Events, not Michael’s estate.

A spokeswoman for the event said no other information is available until Monday’s press conference. Pop & Hiss will carry more details after the announcement

right now, it's funny, but you wait. in a couple of years, when the public really turns away from the extended jackson family, and the books don't sell (i didn't see latoya's book anywhere on the amazon list), and the estate continues to clamp down on unauthorized use of mj's image and such, and the big money really starts to dry up (for eveyone except mj's kids), it's gonna get real ugly.

The show isn't coming back? I'm sad I liked that show. It sucks because the Jacksons have talent I don't care what anyone says. Jermaine, Marlon, 3t, and Jackee all had good solo albums (to me). They need to do something cause I'm tired of hearing them talk about Mj (I'm not tired of MJ, just them talking about him) I would like to know more about THEM, their families and their kids and what they want to do with their careers now that Mj's gone.

To be fair, it has been a couple years, but it would have been really weird if they had put a tour together immediately following MJ's death too.

If they do reunite, it makes sense that the tour would be in tribute to Michael. I'm sure it takes a lot to organize these men to complete work together. Back in the day, Joseph would just hit them all with a "switch" and they were "ready" to work.

Maybe just maybe they didn't really want to be in the business like that the way MICHAEL was. It seemed they don't know how to do anything when it comes to entertainment. Guess Michael's death exposed that for real.

Its weird that when Joe beat them they were great and wanted to work. Maybe Joe was doing something right. I mean he did beat them out the hood. Not saying it's right but I saw interviews of them as kids and they were happy and Joe kept them in order.
