Billboard: Beyonce's 30 Biggest hits
With a devotion to music that started she was just five years old, Beyoncé has been never missed a step. Once she reached her teens, Queen B has dominated the Billboard charts for the entire span of thirteen-years-and-counting career, first as part of '90s R&B group Destiny's Child, later with her husband Jay-Z, as a duet partner (with Justin Timberlake, Shakira and Lady Gaga), and most especially as a solo leading lady. And Beyonce is just closing out her twenties now! (Do the math and you realize she was on the charts at an age when most kids were going to the high school prom.) September 4 is Beyonce's 30th birthday - which, with her first child on the way is sure to be a wonderful year -- and in celebration of the doubly-momentous occasion, we've ranked the mommy-to-be's top 30 Billboard hits.
This chart of Beyonce's 30 biggest Billboard hits is based on actual performance on the weekly Billboard Hot 100. Songs are ranked using an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 100 earning the least.

I don't know all of the abbreviations, however, that is a pretty comprehensive list. I don't agree with some of the positions, though. |

I thought "Survivor" was the main Destiny's Child long-run on the charts, forgot about "Independent Women". So weird I never hear those songs anymore, unless the radio is doing "we're looking back at the year 2000!!" or something |

The only songs you'll probably hear on radio will be the slower ones. For some reason, the dance songs don't usually age well (in most cases). |

Tsk tsk tsk. Love Beyonce, but they've forgotten that some of those hits were when she was with a GROUP. "Get up off that grey line" |

Maybe so. However, I thought Irreplaceable was her biggest hit period. I didn't expect to see "Independent Women" as her biggest.
I guess they all are classified as her songs because she "co-wrote" the songs. |

This seems to be a way of rewriting history so that Destiny's Child is no longer the three or four of them. |

What an unimpressive list overall. Most of those songs aren't classic or memorable at all. It shows how lousy her catalogue really is.
Only with the album "4" has Beyonce shown some growth imo. Really enjoying that album, but overall her music catalogue is not impressive.
I mean yes I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy some of her music and she does have maybe a handful of what i'd considered to be quality songs, but considering her status, talent and all the praise Beyonce gets, you'd think her music would be a lot stronger. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always |

My roomate in college loves Beyonce so I have been forced to constantly listen to that album because she always plays it LOL.... I think Ive heard that entire album because of HER LOL and I STILL dont see where this album is any different from the rest of her albums.
She still has the high tempo alot of bass and drums music, same topics.... the only song that has an old school feel is Love on Top and even that song is not impressive. The album isnt all that great and not much of a different like some are saying. If this album signals growth as far Beyonce music is concern that shit her music really does suck...
Her music is just only good for the moment which she fails to understand because she is so caught up in accolades. She has not made one classic song that resonates with audiences and people. Popularity doesnt equal quality or classic.
I am also sooooo tired of when they mention Beyonces music they include DESTINY CHILDS songs... like really thats some fucked up shit

How is that f-ed up? She co-wrote the DC songs as well as was the "star" of the group.
MJ did Jacksons, and J5 songs throughout all of his solo tours.
Those DC songs are a part of her and she will never be able to stop singing songs like "Say My Name." |

Your missing the point. And I dont believe alot of those credits she gets for writings because alot of it are lies but thats besides the point. Whether she co wrote them or not. She gets credit SOMETIMES for DC songs like its HER song when its not her song she was WITH a group. So yes that is fucked up. Destiny Childs does consist of JUST Beyonce and that group was not successful JUST because of Beyonce.
Also, Beyonce did not co wrote ALL of DC songs AND once again for some odd reason Michael Jackson is being brought up in a discussion about mediocre Beyonce to prove a irrelevant point. Thats annoying and disrespectful to MJ and the Jacksons stop it!!

I'm not missing the point at all. I don't believe she co-wrote all of the songs either, but nonetheless, she gets the writing credit.
Beyonce still performs the DC songs (even if she only does medleys of them) in her shows. She pics and chooses which ones she does, but she does perform them.
If Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams or Letoya have more hits, then they can also share in the DC "hits" list.
I only brought up MJ to express a point. |

I understand that. lol
However, I just find dismay in how the MEDIA portrays certain DC songs as being Beyonces when they are not. For example, this dumb list.
What point were you trying to express with Michael because I didnt understand it? I never said Beyonce could not perform DC songs live. This isnt about that. This is about how the media and critics any time in speaking on Beyonces accolades incorporating DC songs etc like they are HER songs. That was just my only point that you obviously did not understand or maybe I wasnt clear. lol

For the MJ point, I was trying to say that MJ never tried to break away from the J5 and Jacksons material. All throughout his solo tours, he worked in some of his biggest hits with his brothers. Beyonce did the same thing with DC. That's all I was trying to say. |

I think comparing her to one of her peers would have been appropiate like Justin Timberlake. I just find the mention of another legend next to Beyonce laughable and disrespectful even if its a small comparision as that. Im really just tired of it. But I see the point you were trying to make
