I think these people need to give him a break. He hasn't even decided which black artist he wants to masquerade as for his 3rd album!

The 1st album he pretended to be Michael Jackson

The 2nd album he pretended to be Prince

He doesn't know if he wants to be Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, or Lionel Richie!

JERKIN' EVERYTHING IN SIGHT!!!!!

LMAO!!!

Luther? I don't think anyone can match his voice, and it's going to be interesting hearing THAT

I would rather see an N Sync reunion, though I own his albums too, for Timbaland and Neptunes who I respect.

Two albums under his belt and people treat him like a legend. I don't understand.

He's pretty much a solo version of "color me bad" - which is why he did that "D*ck in box" parody so well - he was playing himself!

I hate to say it but he really has a lot people right where he wants them right now....in the palm of his hand. He has Hollywood throwing scripts at him, and his music fans fiending for something new. In other words, he's a hot commodity in entertainment. Must be nice....

Whenever he does release something it will probably be a big deal because he hasn't released anything in awhile. Radio is going to eat it up because its him, regardless if its actually good or not. I can see the headlines now, "The first Justin Timberlake record in (?) years." He seemed to have learned well from the "Michael Jackson School of Music" about building anticipation from his audience.

I think its cool that he's building a lasting career and all (especially with so many other artist striking while the iron is hot") but he just comes off like Mitt Romney to me. Maybe he can find his own musical identity by the time he records his new stuff and not borrow so heavily from others.

I completely agree. Maybe the general public's standards have been lowered. idk (kanye shrug).

Thats just hype and media. I wouldnt pay to much attention to it but one thing is for sure that I will give Justin credit for is... not overexposing himself and like one poster said already taking a page out of MJ's book and BUILDING anticipation....... something alot of his peers dont understand and will be their demise in the industry.

Justin you wait any longer and you'll be replaced by Bieber.

Your movies always make me cringe.

You're not that funny. You're awkward. And u know it.....

pray

But if he releases new album, I'll definitely check it out biggrin

Timberlake had a chance to build his musical success for five years, it hasn't come. I hate to say times are different but just what makes Timberlake think he can release a new album this year (or next) and think it'll be 2002 or 2006 again?

Mike dropped legendary albums and then left people hanging. Timerlake dropped Justified and FSLS confused

Who's calling him legendary? He's fun to listen to, and even if I have heard "new king of pop" and have rolled my eyes, at least they haven't called him "the king" or any of that.

Can't stand the guy, honestly. FutureSex/LoveSounds is my jam album, though. It's good. If all I'm looking for is an updated rehash of The Time records. Hell, Prince is ON that record. Sometimes I wonder if "Sexy Ladies" isn't a demo he gave them when he gave them permission to use "Raspberry Beret" for "Until the End of Time" or whatever that song is.

Wouldn't mind an album by him just to check out what he did, but I'm not a fan of Timberlake.

I don't see that. He's not that big and special for people to wait for him for years, he's no Michael jackson, despite this little YT clip. He has to come back with a slamming track, otherwise....

100% he will have a number 1 single and record when he decides to release new material especially in the UK. Even if it's bad - he's got that staus now.
