*We’ve finally got more info about funeral services for Maze percussionist McKinley “Bug” Williams who died of a heart attack on Friday, September 2nd while on tour in Chattanooga, TN.
According to an email from industry vet, Pat Shields, services will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 in Philadelphia:
9:00-11:00 a.m. – Viewing
11:00 a.m. Funeral Service

The funeral home is Beckett, Brown & Hodges, 215-438-9170. They don’t have an online guestbook but you can leave condolence messages on Maze’s website in their guestbook, www.mazemuze.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations can be made to the American Heart Association in his memory to support their campaign called The Power To End Stroke to bring the issue of heart health to the African American community (www.powertoendstroke.org).
