I feel like dancing whenever I hear this mutha,,,can't help it the whole synthsizers and the basslines give me chills whenever I hear this song.

I've always thought this one line was kinda funny...

So,she's willing to dog her own FRIEND and steal her man away? And,why does she offer the dude a dime? I'm sure he could scrape up ten cents on his own,no?

HA-HA back then, the cost of using the pay phone in the 70's and early 80's was a DIME before going up to a quarter. Those were the good ole days. This is a great song. But no doubt dated by the "number and a dime" line. .

Nevertheless a big hit for Skyy, that went to number #1 on the R&B charts. Remember they had another nice jam called "Skyyzoo"..{hey that's a great old school R&B song of the day pick....

Skyy was on top in 1981 with the hits "Call Me","Let's Celebrate" and the slow jam "When You Touch Me".

But a year later they came back with the truly awful single "Moving Violation",remember that stupid song? Aaaahhh!

I had a Ktel compilation album with Call ME and Controversy on it. Great record.

Her giving the "boyfriend" the dime had nothing 2 do with his inability 2 pay 4 the call... She was just ensuring that he'd call so she can get in2 his shit.



Nasty ho... damn, I love that song. Just heard it this morning on the radio.
