Get yo old ass out of the 80's for a minute. lol

I thought it was the late 1970's. The 80's is Whitney Houston & Freddie Jackson. razz

lol

Vain like that early 80's synthesized funk like a lot of us old schoolers.

I joke with Vain like that every now and then.

Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

hmmm I don't know if she qualifies here because Wikipedia cites her genres as Hip Hop, Trip Hop & related, but I love Neneh Cherry heart ,love her 'Woman' song, and also her '7 Seconds' with Yousou N'Dour - that one is nearly iconic imo.

Old???? Hell, I'm too young for all this slow dull shit these days. I can't help it if I remained young while the rest of the world developed the tastes of senior citizens. lol

Isn't Ozzy Osbourne a senior? I don't think his music is slow or soft, although he did do a duet with Miss Piggy. razz B.B. King is around 86 and he's not dull either.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

You don't get it. Old people aren't the senior citizens these days, young people are. Since the 1990s, the roles have been reversed. lol

Alot of you have some great choices on here....but how can we forget Rahsaan and Me'Shell?

We didn't. See reply No. 7. I almost reached for Cookie but Bitter is IMHO a true R&B record. Good looking out for both great artists . . .
