What do you think of singer/songwriter Amel Larrieux? If you do not know her here's a list of some of my favorite songs by her:

1. No One Else

2. Orange Glow

3. Weary

4. Bravebird

5. We Can Be New

6. For Real

7. Just Once

8. Gills and Tails

9. Unanswered Question

10. Dear To Me

If you're not familiar with her choose a couple of the songs listed and familiarize yourelf via youtube and lets discuss. biggrin

I'm kind of ashamed to admit this, but Amel Larrieux has not been on my music radar as much as she should have. I've always know that she could sing as one-half of the duo Groove Theory. I believe Amel Larrieux is a lot like Kim Hill as one of those talents with a solid cult following and they're better off without mainstream success.

Fair enough. I agree she's better without mainstream success, although I do not understand why she's not manistream. She's just that awesome - IMO. I'm not familiar with Kim Hill. I'll look her up on youtube.

In your case, it's really your fault & your lost because you have NOT seen most of the threads that I've posted in within my 8+ years of prince.org membership where I have been part of the discussions about music (including Prince's).

I've been here 15 years. I've seen your work. You aren't very bright.

....in your bitter opinion of course. neutral

In fairness, I don't like you neither, mostly because your hatred toward me is a lot worse now than before. Not to mention that you still have resentment over me due to the fact that I'm comfortable talking about conspiracies in general even if OR when it does strike a nerve within you (and BTW, I'm not sure if you were only joking or dead serious about being a Satanist; But I did wonder if you were offended by my past negative comment toward secret societies). Although it true that I've told part of those discussion with the last 3 years, I've always talk about music throughout my 8+ years of org membership. I don't talk about Prince much because musically he had gotten boring to my ears since 3121, but that's my opinion.

But at the end of the day, it's only your lost if you're not able to see any of my great values. I've moved on and I continue to say whatever I want, whenever I want within the boundaries of the org rules/policies. And you need to get over yourself and move on with your life already, simple as that.

Don't be such a pussy. You can ask me for my honest opinions about music, recording artists, and so forth. It doesn't have to be quizzes.

1. Candle In The Wind 1997 as the biggest selling #1 hit single of all time at 33+ million copies sold.

2. Who Said You Can Go Home (featuring Jennifer Nettles) in 2006.

3. I don't know.

4. I don't know.

5. the first indie album to have 5 singles (from the same album) on Billboard's Hot 100 USA Singles Chart.

6. visiting strip club.

On point with your answers, the Elton John thing is a record but not the one i was thinking of as never being broken.

Elton is the only artist to have at least ONE song in the Top 40 30 years in a row (1970-1999) to me that will never be matched NO WAY.

Perfect on the Jovi questions, on point with the Cover Girls, ironically Jovi's grammy was awarded in the "Country" category.

As for the a-ha questions, the Guiness Records are

Biggest paying audience for a music concert for one artist (festivals excluded) a-ha play the Marcana in Rio in 1991 and sold 197,000 tickets.

And the second Record is Longest note on a studio released single for "Summer Moved On" lead singer morten harket holds the note for 22 seconds on the studio version which was released in 2000.

and the other a-ha question about paisley park the answer is, When going to use the urinal in one of the bathroom MAGNE FURUHOLMEN took a sharpie out and in small print wrote next to one of the urinals that was "lowest" from the floor "Prince Was Here" (a short joke) the next day the words were gone from the wall.

I don't think anyone is talented enough to match Elton's 30 years streak!

The one he did with Michael Jackson, Just Old Friends. Even today, THAT track is the weakest link within Michael's Bad album.

Are you a fan of pre-2000 Kylie Minogue music?

Which is, in your opinion, the best metal album of the 80s?

Is OffTheWall better than Thriller?

Question:

Do you think Cathy Michelle White, better known as Koreana, Jay-Z's publicist and rumored mistress is a blood sacrifice for Jay & Bey's unborn baby?

Wait...no...wrong question.....

Who do you think are the three best R&B artists in the game right now (as in 2011)? No particular order...just your top three.

1. Yes. cool

2. Tough call on that one. I think it's a three way dance with the following:

Motley Crue -- Shout Of The Devil

Guns-N-Roses -- Appetite For Destruction

Metallica -- Master Of Puppets

3. Both albums are classics, but Off The Wall is not a better album than Thriller. However (brace yourself!.......), Bad has better hit singles than Off The Wall OR Thriller.

Moon Mullican or Bob Wills?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I've been so far removed from 2010's r&b scene that I wouldn't know how to ask that question at the moment. disbelief I still stand by my past statements that hip-hop AND r&b need to get a long overdue divorce.

Very True. Lets keep this going. In honor of Rick Springfields 62nd birthday im going to incorporate some of rick into questions.

Question:

Back in 1984 Rick Springfield was on such a roll with singles what Unique and very difficult thing did he accomplish that year chartwise?

What was Barry Manilow's Last Top 40 single?

Richard Marx was disqualified for Best New Artist because he had a song on what Soundtrack?

What Artist was uncredited for his guitar solo on "SaltWater" by Julian back in 1991?

What 5 artists that have began careers after 2000 do u think will be in the RnR hall of fame?

How many #1 hits has Richard Marx written for others and himself?
