Tevin is one of the last great child prodigies. None of the younger singers in this generation including Justin Bieber,Usher & maybe come close Chris Brown held a candle to him. He had an original soulful voice & still does. Too bad scandal took him away from the spotlight.

Totally. I noticed that within the first few seconds of him singing but I never picked up on it back then. I miss the days when it was cool to be supreme male vocalist.

Tevin had a very successful run on broadway in the play "Hairspray". I thought he was going to try to make a comeback after that. But besides a appearance on the now defunct talk show Monique & a view appearances overseas. Which he said on Monique that he is not to happy with the music industry anymore. I think he is scared of the criticism & judgement he will get from a comeback.Because of his past mistakes.

It is! I remember him saying in an interview years ago, that he doesn't go on the internet anymore. Because of some horrible things he read. People already say bad things about people that don't even do anything(Will & Jada Smith). So imagine him who was caught with his hands in the cookie jar. They already tear him apart.

^If he would just come out and meet it head on the LGBT community would embrace him. He may not be come a major superstar be he would have a fan base that would be surpportive.

And let's not pretend that the whole gay thing is at all marketable for his genre...unless he goes the dance/pop route. Tevin would literally have to start at square one.

Yea! I do believe people miss him to. But I followed Tevin's career closely even met him before. I always felt he wasn't managed right by his mother. Plus he wasn't guided on how to act properly in public or in interviews. That terrible incident that happen to him had nothing to do with why his career suffered. People already thought that about him before that happen. His career was already basically over. Quincy had already turned his back on him, after pushing him to be the next MJ.Tevin wouldn't listen to anyone. So Quincy washed his hands of him. People already formed there opinion of him when he hit his teens. Especially when he put those extentions in his hair. Bad move!

I was always a fan of his soulful voice. But certain RnB singers have to have a certain image to women or teenage girls to sell records. Tevin's image started diminishing as he got older. But at least he lasted a litte longer than Johnny Gil as a solo artist Who people still talk about. But Johnny has finally got a new hit song. Maybe that will open the door for Tevin to swallow his pride and come back. But it won't be without the haters commenting.
