There's a reason Prince (and Elvis) could rock gold and why Cee-Lo can't but he gets effort for trying. lol

The difference is that Cee-Lo must have intended wearing that as humorous whereas it probably didn't even cross Prince's mind that wearing such an outfit might have something to do with humor.

No, the difference is that Prince is ON STAGE performing, while Cee-Lo is whoring himself out for Nike & DirectTV wishing he could wear it like Prince.

A sense of humor is, simply put, the ability to be amused. Most people have one, and are able to laugh at jokes, humorous situations, and a variety of other potential sources of amusement. In humans, it develops at a very early age, and is often considered to be a vital part of human development. Some animals also appear to find things funny, with the ability to enact jokes and comedies of their own.

The sense of humor appears to be an important part of human survival. The ability to laugh can dispel tension, for example, while an understanding of complex situations can help people to make good decisions. People with a well-developed sense of humor appear to be happier in psychological studies, and some are healthier as well, suggesting that it may just be good for you.

Not everyone has a sense of humor. People with autism, Asperger's syndrome, and a variety of developmental disabilities sometimes lack one, or have a very strange one. For some people, this can be very awkward, as it plays a vital role in human interactions. An autistic, for example, might have a very well-developed personal sense of humor, but an inability to understand why a knock-knock joke is funny. People without one may find themselves belittled, mocked, or treated as stupid, leading to anxiety and depression.

Cee Lo loves Prince. He is constantly tweeting about what song he is currently listening to and most of the time it is a Prince song. He even tweets to ask everyone what their favorite Prince song is.

He tweeted one day that he had a Prince song called "I'll fuck your momma" (I've never heard of that one!).

Cee Lo has also referred to himself at LO-BERACE.

So being out there is part of Cee Lo's personna/sense of humor.

I think that him wearing the suit was another outrageous costume stunt that Cee Lo is famous for, but at the same time, it was homage to Prince.

My favorite thing about Cee Lo wearing this outfit is the fact that he could care less if anyone thinks he looks good or not.

Cause tomorrow is taking too long
and yesterday's too far away
and the reality that you believe in begins to bind.

I keep wondering why some people here keep defending Princes' fashion 'style'?

I am interested in his music in the first place. Many of his lyrics can be odd-ball, but there are some gems to be found in between. But when it comes to his clothing style, i always found he wasnt much of a succes.

In the eighties that wasn't such a problem: every one was dressing 'weird' those years, but after that i think he has lost a lot of artistic credibility because of what he was wearing and what he was putting on his face. For example: the anorectic, coke-addict 'vampire' look during the mid-nineties was distracting from the quality of music he delivered on The Gold Experience.

IMO With all these make-up and golden suits nowadays he becomes in danger of getting a parody of himself. Like some current day Little Richard.

I found it refreshing to see him in a simple green sweater on the cover of the Rainbow Children (no matter i horribly i find that album: both lyrically and musically). It becomes a bit silly when a 50+ yo guy keeps putting make-up on and still dresses like a semi-drag queen at that age. Its not like he needs it.

I like his look during the 2004 Musicology era.He was wearing nice, conservative suits...looking very masculine and cool.I don't know what happened since then but it seems that he has returned to the 'weird',flamboyant outfits again lol

I liked the suits too, but I think he went back to the looser fitting clothing now that he's dancing and moving around so much more than he could then.

Noooo. I love that about Prince, he just doesn't give a fuck about what people think he should wear. Why should he stop being flamboyant??? It's a part of his personality on stage. He is 50 + soo what??? he doesn't look like an 53 year old, and doesn't feel like 53 ... so why stop with being flamboyant?
