I wonder if she wanted to be classified as more as a pop artist vs a r&b artist? She kicks ass performing "Gimmie Shelter" with the Stones.

Lisa's one of those rare artists who can sing just about any genre and make it sound good. She's done a lot of guest appearances on various Jazz CDs over the years. And being that she did get her big break touring as a background vocalist with Chaka back in '84, she had to be versatile.
