I don't understand that either. They make it seem Rene was her secret lover, that no knew it about. They only thing people did not know was their legal status, but it was a well known fact they were a couple.

This is OLD-OLD news and its the Truth......I'm 34 and I've been trying to tell YOUNGER Janet fans that Janet had a baby by one of the Debarge Brothers way back in the 80's. I remember watching a BET interview back-in-the-day where Janet talked about the baby. Then Janet Started pretending the baby never happened and it just went away..Never-EVER to be discussed again..

Just like Janet lied about ever being married she has kept MUM about ever giving birth to ONE child. I can understand Janet wanting to protect her child. I'm just amazed she was able to mention her baby in the 80's then make it go away like they do on the Soap Operas...

Omer Bhatti is Janet Jackson’s Son, Not Michael’s, Claims Etterlene DeBarge

Etterlene DeBarge, the mother of James DeBarge, is claiming Janet Jackson gave birth to James’s son, and the son is Omer Bhatti.

In an interview with the National Enquirer, Etterlene says she is absolutely certain Janet gave birth to a child 27 years ago when she was married to her son.

She is demanding a DNA test from Omer Bhatti, who Joe Jackson already admitted publicly is Michael Jackson’s son.

“That’s Janet son!” Etterlene, 75, told the Enquirer after comparing a picture of Omer with her son James at the magazine’s request.

“That’s my grandson!” she said.

“He looks just like James did whe was young. He has the same bone structure and smile. Even the eyebrows are the same.

“I always believed Janet was pregnant by my son and gave birth 27 years ago.

“And when I saw her brother Michael with Omer, I knew it was true.

“Omer is Janet’s son.”

DeBarge says her son told her that Janet was pregnant with his child during their brief marriage.

“James told me that he got Janet pregnant when she was 18 in 1984,” Etterlene, a former gospel singer and matriarch of the famed DeBarge singing family, told the Enquirer.

“Janet and I spent some time together back then, and it was obvious to me she was very pregnant.

“I even teased Janet about it. She laughed it off, but I have no doubt she was carrying a child.

“I have 10 of my own, so I know ‘pregnant’ when I see it….Within a few days of my pregnancy comments, Janet disappeared. Even my son James had no idea where she was.

“When she came back a month after, she was slimmer and there was no baby.

“Janet told James that she had miscarried.

“I never believed that, but James said he did.”

Etterlene said she learned later that Janet was in Europe during the time she would have been pregnant.

She is convinced the Jackson family plotted to cover up the child’s birth to protect Janet’s career that was fledgling at the time.

DeBarge told the publication she has a strong suspicion Janet gave birth to the boy, Omer, in Norway, and the Jackson family paid a Norwegian family to raise him, who is now 27 years-old.

Both Janet and her husband of one-year James have denied this claim.

DeBarge, who already has 55 grandchildren, says her son James and Jackson are lying.

She says she wants a DNA test to prove she is right and wishes that one day Omer Bhatti will “come knocking on [her] door and [they] can be one big happy family.”

I don't believe she was on birth control either. I definitely think her weight gain was because she was depressed and she ate. Come on, this woman was driving miles away from Hayvenhurst some nights trying to get her husband out of South Central to stop him from getting drugs. You think she risked her life and limb saving someone if she was pregnant?! Then again, Janet has always been one of those people that always found a way out of adversity so she'd find a way even if she did have a child inside but I doubt it.

Come on, for years people believed it was a baby daughter, now people are trying to say that they believe she had a baby son?!

Let's try this scenario: She got pregnant,but saw that her husband was a drug addict and didn't want to raise a baby around that lifestyle.She goes away for awhile,comes back and is no longer pregnant.
