This is what's funny about the org, most of you think you know stuff that you don't . Janet WAS pregnant back in the day [I know a fact that she was. I know certain people ]. I'm just not sure what kid is hers or if she kept the baby. But Janet WAS Preggo!

i always thought she was. i used to watch fame pretty religiously back in the day and remember when she came on. i remember at first, she had a lot of scenes - after all, this is mj's sis we're talking about at the height of thriller-mania - then she started to have less and less screentime. i can remember a whole scene with her sitting. i was more struck by the fact that it was an odd scene since i don't think she spoke at all. but now, of course, i look back on it and wonder if she was shot that way b/c she was pregnant.

i remember how they wrote her out of the series, it was an episode pretty much dedicated to cleo(?) and in the last scene, it's a long shot and she turns to walk away, i remember thinking that janet looked pregnant. but i didn't dwell on it. i only started to think about it more b/c other people also seemed to notice what i had noticed.

Interesting.Btw,I was watching an episode of 'Fame' just the other day.It was from 1982,a few years before Janet joined the cast.That was such a lousy show Stupid songs!!!! The movie was great but the TV series sucked.

If U watched the De Barge Unsung episode last year. Etterlene looked like she wasn't playing with a full deck. That women is not all there. That family has some type of mental illness. The father abused her. James was beatened daily by his older brother. Because the father showed favoritism toward him. It also was hinted that the siblings particularly Bunny was sexually abused by the father..

So what i'm saying is take anything she says with a grain of salt...

well james himself said janet got pregnant and had a abortion, i mean her getting pregnant is not farfetched, she was having sex after all. the secret kid thing is where it dont add up, for one they were married so how could janet just give the kid away without james consent? the marriage was annulled, a judge wont annul a marriage if there are kids involved. you got one debarge saying he knew the girl and hung out with her, you got the mom saying she has no proof but she 'believes' there is a kid, now all a sudden its not a girl but a boy.in the meantime this kid would be grown now and still nobody can produce a pic, birth certificate, nothing? latoya went on a ruin her family rant where she said her dad raped her sister and her brother raped lil boys but never said her sister had a baby and gave it away, um ok.

SMH..... Those goons wont stop at nothing.... the press is relentless. I like Degarge but why do they keep go running to the tabloids lying???????? This shit is old and tired.

Logically if you look at timelines, she never had the kid. The timeline of the "girl" from the rumor 5 years didn't match, and I thought Omer was 26, not 27 like this article says. I can believe abortion or miscarriage if it's really true she was pregnant, but I don't believe there was a kid at all. Janet also said she was taking birth control pills at that time too, but who knows....and who cares.

LOL! you are so right! some of the actors were okay; i remember liking nia peeples. can i just say in my defense, i was young. i mean, i wouldn't even watch the 'facts of life' now for nostalgic value if it was on nick at nite right this second, but my little face was all up in the tv back then when it was on.

I've always been on the fence about this. Meaning, I don't know whether the baby lived or died. But i remember when the story broke about Janet being pregnant in my local newspaper. It was a major article because James being from Detroit and then Grand Rapids. Janet was clearly pregnant. I'm talking like 7-8 months pregnant. Then,no baby.

You never heard about the birth, nada. I remember thinking that I should cut the article and photograph out as a keepsake, but I did not. I tell you, I regret not having done that. I know what I saw, and read. Years afterward, I would think about it and go, I know what I read. But once that marriage became anulled, I wasn't surprised that the baby, I assumed came out of her? got anulled with the marriage.

Problem solved. If your story is accurate there will be archival evidence in these local papers. Do not stop, run to your local newspaper archives. (If you are the one who solves this mystery surely there is a bunch of money to be had selling the story.) And with such controversial and inflamitory information that impacts someone's life so deeply you really ought to verify it, if you can - and if what you say is true, it is verifiable 24 hours a day. If you do not bother to verify this information your word is not worth the ink those newspapers were printed with 25 years ago.

James looks high as a kite here! I remember seeing them together at Six Flags magic mountain around the summer of 84 being incognito. Barely recognized Janet she looked very haggard. I recognized James first right away.They did not want to be bothered especially Janet. De Barge was at the height of there success then. What a difference a couple of years what end up making. Janet end up turning into a major superstar. James ends up showing up drugged completely out at one of her appearances. That's another story.

This is all quite interesting. I think Omar kinda resembles James a bit, but he doesnt resemble Janet at all, nor Michael, nor any Jackson for that matter. Etterlene, Etterlene, What can I say? I aint mad at her, I think she truly believes that the kid is James and Janet's son. She knows Janet was pregnant, but she disappeared for a few weeks, came back and...no baby. She wants to know what happened to the baby. She sees Omar who kinda resembles James and she thinks he's the child of James & Janet. Maybe its too hard for her to think that their baby was miscarried or aborted.

There may or may not have ever been a baby but people are saying that Janet was pregnant and its not that far-fetched to believe that she was since they were married. Was she on birth control? Maybe, maybe not, if so, maybe it failed on her one time. I dont know...no one really knows except for Janet and James.

Or the "baby," which would now be a grown adult and probably would have surfaced by this time. That was over a quarter of a century ago, folks. Time to throw the "baby" out with the bath water.

^ I agree. I think Janet was pregnant but that she either lost the baby or had an abortion. I dont believe she has a secret child out in the world somewhere.

yeah,I also think Janet was pregnant but either miscarried or had an abortion.It's absurd to think that she would try to "hide" a baby,or give it to another family to raise.Why would she need to do that?

Frankly, I don't think Janet wanted kids then, now, or ever.
