Off the Wall/Madonna

One of the few times where I will completely stan out for Michael....... those 2 albums are masterpieces and completely shit on anything from that attention whore.

Off The Wall is by far my favorite MJ album and his BEST IMHO. His voice was in great shape and he didn't have that chipmunk effect or wasn't angry straining. You can hear his falsetto and natural chest voice as its supposed to sound. Great lyrics that work well with the funky music that Quincy and the crew put down. Plus Stevie Wonder influenced it so that already gives it superiority

Thriller was MJ at his peak.

Janet's 'Control' and 'Rhythm Nation 1914'

Really though, Michael for both.

No contest as it would be with his sibling.

As far as the subject goes, it's like this...

While I *recognize* that Off The Wall and Thriller are better albums, I'm about 3x more likely to play Madonna and Like a Virgin over them.

Then there was the time Britney Spears casually introduced him as the artist of the millennium at the VMA, and when he came out and gave an acceptance speech as though he had just won an award with that title.

Yeah, yeah...Michael was great. Fantastic entertainer. And unlike his sister, I would call him a legend...but let's not pretend that he didn't attention whore himself to Mars and back.

No one is "bashing" MJ; the point is don't throw stones at one for something that they both do. IMO, Michael erecting shiny, Godzilla-sized statues of himself to be worshiped or awed at (complete with helicopters flying around it in a frenzy) is just as much of an attention-whoring stunt as anything Madonna ever did. But at the end of the day, who cares? Celebrities don't get to become as famous as them without various stunts, fits of arrogance, and demanding attention and reverence, so there you have it. But condemning one for it while glossing over the other is hypocritical as hell.
