Best Sample: Human Nature-Who Used It Best?

Indulge me please. I know some may look at sampling with disdain but I heard, "Hey Love" by LL Cool J over the weekend after not hearing it in awhile. I thought, "Wow, how many artist have sampled this song and I also wondered who used it the best?"

What say you? I think Chris Brown's sample of a sample (SWV's Right Here Remix) was tired and lazy.

Doesn't 'Hey Lover' sample Lady in My Life?

Two songs that, definitely, sampled Human Nature were: SWV's 'Right Here Remix' and Nas's 'It' Ain't Hard To Tell.'

I think that Chris Brown's sample of Human Nature, actually, sounds heavily influenced from the SWV remix that came out when he was a child. I am not mad at him for that. Him and his team probably really liked the way it was handled and inspired them to use it.

Nice catch! Thanks!

I've always liked Nas' use of it.

That's a nice way of saying they ripped off the SWV track to make "She Ain't U." lol

I still like SWV's best. Especially the "Demolition Mix" of the song.

Ah yes Dilla. He knew how to make a sample his own. Never forget what he did with Janet's "Come Give Your Love To Me". Dope cool

I'm LOVING Chris Brown's version...And I agree that it is so close to SWV's version the Brotha should've gave them a shout-out on the track...Chris's voice is made for Pop music.....

This and Nas' "It Ain't Hard to Tell" used it the best.

He could have at least had SWV to do the remix with him. Can u imagine if Coko was singing the female parts and the harmonies were be LeLe and Taj? Would have been an even better track.

Aren't they on the remix?

The remix of Right Here/Human Nature was the best sample. When I listen to 'She Aint You' I immediately think of SWV's version of the sample. So it really is a sample of a sample. I think his producers couldve use Coko's voice instead of that singer who sounds so off-pitch.

Nas' sample deserves a honorable mention.lol

Hmmm...I never thought of it as "sample of a sample" but you're RIGHT...LOL....

If SWV is in the background I can't hear'em...I thought the Girl sining "the hook" was somebody else...I'm gonna have to listen closely...

I love the remix with them. It came out right before the BET awards. I was sure he would perform it with them, but that was a missed chance- if you ask me. I don't know why radio won't play the remix.

And She Ain't You actually samples SWV's Right Here/Human Nature remix. So, it's a sample of a sample- but I like it.

Chris Browns version is sounds like a mess... and awful singing

I like SWV's sample... I think that is probably the best sample an artist has done on HN.

SWV's version (Pharell-produced) killed it. It's the best sampling of Human Nature. I love this remix

Yeah, it does. The OP got that wrong.

The new Chris Brown song sounds awkward, it seems like the sample and the song don't fit together, not like with SWV where it was like both songs combined just clicked together.
