Best New Jack Swing Song?

What would you guys consider the Best NJS Song ever? A song that culminates all the elements of New Jacks Swing the best. This does not necessarily have to be a song produced by Teddy Riley either. Just asking for your opinions.....

The easy answer is Michael's "Remember The Time" but I'm sure there are other songs that are serious contenders....Thoughts?

I agree that "Remember The Time" is the best NJS song, but I have a few other favs:

Is It Good To You - Heavy D

Him or Me - Today

Why You Getting Funky On Me - Today

Hold On - EnVogue

I used to love that song. The video was fun to watch too with excerpts from the House Party movie mixed in there.

This is like asking what's the best power metal song or something. How can you really choose? All you can choose are your favorites.

Wasn't NJS dead by then? When I think of NJS, I think of the years 1988 to about 1992.

Good question.

I'm sure not really sure as I don't think of it in those terms.

Labelling music has never really worked 4 me.

I can understand that.

It's kinda like VainAndy saying everything after 83 is "shit-hop." He even calls Keith Sweat's "I Want Her" shit-hop. lol

One of my faves.

And I see you mentioned that in your original post. To me it's one of the best, not sure if it's the best.

I agree. The MJB remake of "Our Love," Stephanie Mills, Teena Marie, etc. All were excellent!

"Remember The Time" for sure, but I think Teddy out-NJS'd himself even with the remix!!!

My second pick would be Ralph's "Sensitivity" for sure.

Mike, I love "No Diggedy", but it's not quite New Jack Swing, even though it has the Teddy touch...

AH! You beat me to it! mad This was my favorite remix of this song. I liked it just as much as the original. Although that fat synth bass isn't present, he makes up for it with other sounds. Loved how he brought up the strings on the fade towards the end. If I recall correctly, this remix was pretty long wasn't it?
