Is that a 'U' in History? I wonder if he got that because he was challenging what the teacher was saying and/or asking a shitload of questions. Like that time when he said he was at the Hall asking them a ton of questions anytime they would talk about the Bible and what was 'supposed to be.' I think he said that they just told him to sit down. He seemed like he would be that kind of student.
I remember I was in this English H.S. class and this kid would ask the teacher everyday why are we are reading Greek/European literature as opposed to African or something else. I understood where he was coming from, but, in essence, the teacher is nothing more than a mere pawn in the big game at hand. The real decisions about what goes on in the curiculum is up to the school boards, state, town, etc. If the teacher, themselves were saying the wrong thing and/or inappropiate THEN is the time that you challenge them imo. Like when those stupid textbooks tell you that when the European settlers came there were vast amounts of land in America unoccupied. Like hell they were, people were already living there. =/
