The fact that Paul and John are even on that list makes my ears hurt.

I agree! The Beatles wrote so many perfect songs with really shitty vocals. sad That's why I own nothing of theirs.

disbelief Paul and John (and George) aren't some of the top vocalists of all time, but they aren't "shitty" either.

Do not exaggerate, please. Paul and John could not the greatest singers, but it's not so bad ((:
In addition, I look at your avatar and I think that even a complete lack of vocal should not embarrass you lol

C'mon, you know, it's true. lol
Paul and John are not the best vocalists in history, but they better than an ambitious blonde.
Just so strange when fans of artists with a very weak voice accuse someone in a weak vocals. It was always unclear to me ... neutral

Firstly i would like to say things like.. best artist..greatest entertainer are really subjective to the indiviual and are a matter of opinion and preference to the individual
How ever talking soley about the vocal ability of an individual can be factually backed up
E.g i may love Janet ,rihanna or taylor swift to the extreme but to say they are the greatest vocalist wouldnt be simply untrue...
Now i created this thread in response to ........ thread by
http://prince.org/msg/8/364358
which stated
To me, he's the greatest to ever do it. "Bohemien Rhapsody" is just mind blowing.
"Cool Cat" is a perfect example of what he's about. Take a listen.
He's a better vocalist than Michael Jackson, Prince etc...
i didnt respond at that time because i wasnt familiar which his entire body of work ...so as to give an unbiased opinon i went to get the essentials.. his solo work together with the queen discography ..
After days of hia songs on repeat i will admit..expecting him to be as good as tylerhippie claimed iwas left heavly underwhelmed...
A good vocalist yes but there wasnt anything "Vocally" Jaw dropping about almost everything i listened ..the were some sharp screams impressive..but i have heard better from Ray charlse and james brown .i heard he was a amateur singer in his 20's till he joined queen..i dont know how that is relevant but some people think he is because he didnt get an early start singing like others ..well..
well IMO ..prince is a faaaar superior and better more vesalitle vocalist.. Michael has had vocal training from the age of 7 ..his vocal dexterity across almost every genre speaks for itself...and not just because im a fan..im sure my fellow mj fans can show you proof of this...
Now let me not even go across genres and compare freddie to some of his fellow contemprories in the same genre
steven tyler will easily eat up freddy
Steve perry.. would easily spit out freddie
Adam Lambert would drag freddie by the weave
Just a few to make my point....So to answer you question
TylerHippie frreddie is not the greatest male vocalist ever..far from it actually..he may be considered a favorite entertainer to some ..but vocally not the best
This is possibly the funniest list and thread in history, just for including Adam Lambert this thread gets filed under total shit. But it did give me a good laugh. Granted no one can claim best because you have so many things NOT covered, Steve Perry and Steven are good vocalists, but wheres Russell Hitchcock of Air Supply who blows all of them away to this day, also Morten Harket of a-ha STEPS on those you mentioned and any list without him in terms of great vocalists HAS NO MERIT whatsover, and thats not because im a fan of a-ha but because its a FACT the guy is amongst the best, blows prince away with ease.

Yeah that's probably her own purpose, though I'm sure some people think she's "deep" and that's when you get trouble. I heard parts of "Gucci Gucci" or whatever that song is and couldn't feel it lol

I think what people also forget in terms of Vocals, that the group had two other amazing harmonies in the band, Roger Taylor was doing alot of the HIGH harmonies on Bohemian Rhapsoday, and Brian May is not too shabby a singer himself. Queen are probbablt the one of the best "harmonizing" rock bands, i would also inlcude Styx in their, with Deyoung/Shaw/James young
